Loved her class. So easy to understand. Used canvas. I struggle with math and her class was so good that I was able to get an A which is really incredible. She gave solid feedback and was all around very pleasant. I would highly recommend and I wish I had been able to take my final math class from her! She's great!

Comment:

Marina Frost has been the best math Prof. I've ever had, period. She started teaching at Clark in '96 but also taught at UW+a couple other schools. Dr. Frost has a Ph.D. in Differential Equations from a university in Russia. Super clear assignment requirements, very helpful+responsive, and it wasn't too hard! I learned a lot and she's very nice!

Comment:

Marina is fairly hands-off unless you ask for help, but course content is structured really well for independent learners. Quizzes can be taken twice. The discussions are easy points and full of other students' advice/supplementary material. Start homework early (there's a lot), watch the MyMathLab vids, and use YouTube/Khan Academy tutorials!

Super tough class, and math is my strongest subject. When I sat down and did the homework all at once, usually took between 5-6 hours, working very quickly and efficiently. Do not take if you have no free time. You will need a LOT of time to do the homework assignments, and look up YouTube videos to teach you the concepts. I got an A, but good luck

She is a great teacher. She was very organized, knowledgeable, and was always helpful when I needed help. It's my second class with her and I would take her again, if she taught any of the math classes I needed. She taught us what we needed to get through the class.

Not sure why I only see one negative comment about her when she could easily be the worst instructor I've had in my life. It's online which means no room for error exists in decimalsfraction answers, no partial credit in that type of sense. She sets up online trig where she has to do little to no work at all. I have a 3.5 GPA and got a (D)? -BAD

Bad instructor for online TRIG! I had around an A to B grade and her final was so extremely hard and DIFFERENT FROM all the course work throughout the class. The hardiest sections were the majority of the final. Even if the ENTIRE class did poor she didn't give ANY ADVICE ON HOW TO BETTER UNDERSTAND IT. Bad power-points.+lowest grade I've EVER got!

Marina is an amazing professor! I was so nervous about taking this class because of how difficult I heard it was. She is a bit slow on grading, but the criteria for each week is crystal clear! Homework problems, quiz, and an easy discussion each week. Go through the study plan & practice problems and you'll be fine. I recommend her to everyone.

I took Trig as an online class, and I loved it. Frost made Trig easy, believe it or not. MyMathLab was used for everything but the weekly discussion. I recommend this class if you have the time to set aside weekly (and daily) to work on the assignments.

Frost was very clear in her expectations which I totally appreciated. The class was cut and dry, but she was always understanding and available to help. Grades work in a very timely manner. My only complaint was the final (and maybe all finals are this way?)where 25% of the class grade on based on 33 questions. Good instructor overall though.

Marina was excellent, she explains everything very clearly, never had to wait more then a couple hours for a response. She cares for her students to succeed in math and doesn't judge you if you don't "get it". Excellent professor! I will try to take all my math from her! Do the work, as questions, and get a good grade.

Alot of information, but if you keep up on your homework and do what is asked you will succeed. I took her online classes so an accent is not a problem. She allows 2 tries for each quiz which gives you a chance to revisit any material that wasn't clear. I would highly recommend her for anyone who isn't great at math, but needs it for their degree.

Really really nice. Very accommodating. Super helpful when you don't "get" something. Just ask her and she's ontop of your question right away! I think she had a personal response to EVERY person EVERY week on the DB's! Take good notes! You'll use them for the tests.

Dr. Frost is an excellent teacher. I have taken two of her online classes and enjoyed both of them even though I don't enjoy math at all. Her online courses are very well organized, and she gives you plenty of time to complete assignments and quizzes. I wish she taught all the math classes I needed to take.
