Do not take any classes with this professor. Exams are the only grades, with a few extra credit opportunities. Test grades above even a C are extremely difficult to get and there are no curves. Don't expect much help outside of class from her either, just don't take the class with her at all.

Avoid at all costs! Inflexible, antiquated. Is certain that everyone cares about biochem. As others have said, if you want to pass you need to be in the seat taking notes and study, study and study some more. You have heard bad things about biochem being difficult, where this is where it ALL stems from.... this professor!

Dr. Jones expects a lot of her students. No one scored an A on any of the exams, however, she makes up for this by handing out tons of extra credit assignments (sometimes 20 points after an exam depending on avg). Go to class, take good notes, read the book, and go in for help. She will make you give your soul to her, but doing well is possible.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I am usually an A student and averaged 70 on every single test! The only points are the tests, and she prides herself in not curving for the whole time she has taught. She "makes up for that" by giving out extra credit. If you do take her, make sure to write down EVERYTHING, and memorize! I have flaschards on cram to help!

Unless you're a chem major, she has no concern of how you bad you're struggling. Went for help multiple times and she was clearly frustrated that I couldn't follow her explanations. Imagine how I felt!!! Very disappointed in her 'guidance'. If you want to feel miserable about an already difficult topic, by all means, she's your professor.

I had her for CHE 140 lab, and she loves her job. She was always super excited about our labs...almost to the point of annoyance. She was super helpful though when I visited her office and asked for help, and she was pretty cool and understanding as well.

Dr. Jones definitely challenges her students, but it is 100% possible to get an A. I'm not 'one of the smart kids' and I was able to achieve an A with a little effort. Yes, her tests are tough but she also offers excessive amounts of extra credit and grades pretty easily.

This course was VERY difficult. She is not the easiest teacher to learn from, and the book was full of mistakes. Hardly anybody was able to finish any of the tests during the allowed 50 minutes, and if you went over, she would not accept the test. Extra credit was offered, which at least helped make up for the questions you had to leave blank.

Dr. Jones isn't as bad as people make her out to be. She is really nice and always willing to help you! The class is hard though, and you definitely need to study and go to class everyday. If you take notes and study in depth the parts of the book discussed in class and take advantage of the extra credit it is definitely possible to get an A.

She DOESN'T know how to teach. She can't dress well, her voice is annoying, and her tests suck! Almost every question on the exam is worth 1 or 2 points, and for what she's asking, it's not worth it. The whole class isn't worth it! Wait until you can take Friesen or someone else cuz she belittles your intelligence and then some. Don't take her!!!!!
