I'm surprised by all of the negative reviews. While I didn't like all of the novels we read in this particular class, I understood her reasons for choosing them. I think the key to succeeding in her class is to talk with her, visit her in her office, make an effort to communicate. If you "suffer in silence," you will not succeed. I found her to be very approachable and helpful.

A very nice lady but her class is challenging. Her class was way over my head. I just don't know how you can spend that much time picking apart poetry and literature... hmm, beyond me. A nice lady, but the course is tough.

I had her twice. The first time, I hated her course. I was forced to take her a second time, and I liked her much more. I wouldn't recommend her, but she isn't all that bad. Watch as her feet turn blue.

Has to be the absolute worst professor that I have ever met. Wish that I would have dropped earlier. Only 3 assignments, but beware. I had expected an "A" on my term paper and somehow recieved a "D".

I graduated in 93' Even though I did well (high B average) in two of her classes, she wouldn't write me a recommendation for graduate school. I got into law school anyway, but I am still baffled by her refusal.
