Okay so Mark Benvenuto was an amazing professor and I actually learned. However, if you need help the day of a quiz GOOD LUCK! He has quizzes every week and one final (no midterm) the final is basically the new material with a little from each week since the beginning. I would take again! I liked him and his teachings. Show up to recitation.

Benvenuto is a great professor. He lectures Monday and Wednesday. Recitation is on Thursday and you review what was taught. Friday is a quiz worth 50 points. This is repeated every week. If you go to class, spend time and actually understand how to work out the problems you will have a good time in the class. The textbook helped a lot. Take him!

I wouldn't recommend taking a class with Dr. B. He is genuinely a nice guy but isn't a good prof. He puts things on quizzes to trick you and see if you'll catch on. Also, he makes it very difficult to get an A on a quiz. He has weekly quizzes and if you're not there you receive a 0. He takes NO excuses for you not being there.

I do not recommend nobody to take a any subject from Prof. Benvenuto including Inorganic Chemistry . He makes it extremely hard passing on his exam. I personally did not enjoy it at all his subject. He is unable to explain in person if you have specific question. Very unhelpful and He goes off topic in all his classes.

Dr. Benvenuto is not on my recommended list. I would rather take the semester off than to be in his class. There are a few reasons: 1. He decided to play favorites and gave me a 6.022% on an exam because he graded papers based on whose paper fell on the floor first (he threw it from the second floor). 2. He gives unfair trick questions on exams.

He is the head of the chemistry department. I thought the class would be considerably difficult but, it really was not that bad. He gave out extra credit which was nice because the only things that compile your grades are quizzes, the midterm, and the final. Overall, I really enjoyed his class and I would take him again.

Dr. B is a great professor. He explains the material very well during his lectures and keeps it interesting by cracking jokes here and there. The quizzes can sometimes be tough, but if you pay attention and take good notes during class, you will do fine. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Benvenuto is an awesome teacher! He is very knowledgable and passionate towards chemistry. We had weekly quizzes which were always fair, but he does take points off for the little things. He gets off topic so much which makes it hard to pay attention. I would definitely recommend him to anyone taking chemistry!

Dr. B is a really cool guy but when it comes to chemistry he doesn't explain things at all. The online 1080 class is challenging and when you email for help he's very vague. I felt I was worrying about just passing the weekly quizzes. I struggled my way through with a lower grade to prove it. If you have the option, don't take chemistry with him.

Great personality, very nice and funny, but is one of the most confusing profs to learn from. Doesn't present topics clearly. Goes off-topic in class which adds to the confusion. Has weekly quizzes and his teaching style makes it hard to know how you will be quizzed. Write down EVERYTHING he says, quizzes include the random facts he says in class.

Put unfair questions on quizzes that had nothing to do with chemistry. Also quizzes us on material we had not learned yet, then proceeded to teach us after we all got the questions wrong. Can be a nice guy but mostly is sarcastic and rude. If you're good at chem you'll like him

Took this class online over the summer thinking it would be an easy A... WRONG. Dr. B made it as hard as he could with trick questions on the quizzes and putting questions on there that his examples and the book did not explain how to do. Many dropped due to fear of failing but he ended up curving the class quite a bit. It's possible but not easy.

Dr. B's the bomb. Sometimes his teaching isn't the clearest, but he really tries to get you to understand chemistry beyond just what you need for the quizzes. Read the book, pay attention to his trivia, and never even make it look like you might have plagiarized! He'll shut you DOWN. Go to recitation & office hours; he's always willing to help!

Benvenuto is the man! He teaches so well that you just understand and remember everything and he always answers any questions. Just watch your spelling, he'll mark a problem half wrong if you spell the elements name incorrectly. Take his class any chance you get!

Dr. B is by far the funniest chemistry teacher i've ever had the pleasure of being taught by. He puts humor in chemistry which is rare, but helps a lot with the understanding. He's like a kid given a PHD trying to teach us, but hes so familiar with everything its like its all engraved in his brain. Dr. B is definitely a teacher to have for chem!
