Dr. Casteel is a great Professor. He is well prepared for every class/lecture. There is reading assignments due before each class, thoughts/summary card (which is graded) but doesn't hold too much weight. His test/exams are very clear cut as well and the projects are clearly outlined. Easy class if you do what is asked.

He is very good at teaching and explaining things. You'll do a lot of reading, but it does help a lot because you will then understand the lecture and everything going on. You must read. Also, his tests are difficult if you do not study and he always has a few extra credit questions at the end. He also has a lot of easy extra credit opportunities .

Dr. Casteel is an awesome professor! Really loves what he teachers and makes it enjoyable. Read the material (it's never more than 15 pages in a book with a lot of graphics in it) and study a little and you're guaranteed an A on then test. He tries to include everyone in the class and he always takes questions and tries to help you.Take his class!

DR. CASTEEL has been the MOST MEMORABLE professor of my entire life. He is PASSIONATE about what he teaches, he eats and breathes Psychology, and he is ALWAYS willing to help. I applaud him, and wish there were more professors like him. he's clearly under-appreciated by most students. If you study, and come to class, you can def get an A!

I had this professor for all of my psych classes while at PSY. If you are not interested in being a psych major, I would consider taking another professor. If you actually want to learn, this will be a HUGE help in future years. I can't count how many recent tests I barely had to study for because we already covered it in his classes.

Dr. Casteel is a very great professor! He uses powerpoints as guidelines and doesn't just read off them like other professors do. It is a great class to take, but does involve a good amount of studying. He even has a guest speaker come in who talks about her job as a psychologist. Very cool.

I'm honestly surprised by the people that did NOT like Dr. Casteel. He is extremely interesting and helpful. His lectures are engaging and if you follow the syllabus, you will have no trouble EARNING a decent grade. Anyone that thought his lectures were confusing OBVIOUSLY didn't do the reading before class. You're in college, don't blame it on him

Cognitive Pyschology was easy for me except each of his exam requires at least 9-10 hours (he said this in class to everyone). He is right or you miserably fail on the exams (I did for the first one with average around 60%). If you think his introduction class is hard like this one, you're wrong. It is much, much easier.
