I've had Prof Conroy 2 times, and here's the deal: If you want a good grade with minimum work, he's an easy grader, doesn't care if you've done the reading or are behind. He's a nice guy, funny, lets you out of class early. BUT: If this is a subject that you really need to learn and understand well, you'd be better with someone who cares more

I don't know what everyone's complaining about. Show up to class because he's funny and draws your attention to what's important. My notes were so helpful on the 3 papers- for which he even gives potential topics to choose from. I did really well- because I showed up, took notes, and put a lot of thought into my papers. Great guy, great class.

Spent so much of lectures on pointless chitchat. I didn't feel like coming to lecture benefitted me at all. Annoying and talks because he likes his own voice. Often gets caught up in own thoughts making his points difficult to understand. Course should've been interesting but he made me hate it. I'm here to learn not to listen to you babble.

Anyone who complains about this class is ridiculous. Come on, guys. It's a film class--an easy A for English majors! I really enjoyed going to this class. The professor rambled sometimes, but he was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable on the subject. I definitely learned more than I ever wanted to know about Hitchcock.

I absolutely loved this professor. If you're into quirky dudes who constantly laugh at their own jokes while still conveying all the necessary points-this is the guy for you. Fair, honest, and helpful critiques with thoughtful consideration of the(our)work. Don't buy the frowny face on the side of his name, he is terribly good at what he does!

Awesome professor - one of my favorites in three years. He's really funny and really tries to get students involved in participation. If you actually make an attempt to try and talk in class and voice your opinion on something he gives you a lot of attention and spends time interpreting people's different ideas.

HILARIOUS! But only if you like dry sense of humor - he will laugh at his own jokes even if no one else does, which is also part of why he is funny. LOVES participation and willing to debate interpretations in a respectful way. Had a great time in his class. 3 papers instead of tests. Hot in a disgruntled professor kind of way...

He laughs at his own jokes... even when no one else laughs. There is a lot of reading and he talks for most of the class period by answering his own questions. Attendance is mandatory and takes off lots of points if you are absent. Required three papers due instead of having exams which was cool.

He's laidback and pretty funny if you like a dry sense of humor. I didn't really mind the class but it got boring because he didn't seem very prepared. A wonderful prof- He's witty, fun, and chooses provacative material to discuss in his classes. Classes are never boring- though he may ramble on and on, they're always somewhat in relation to the material and at least give a creative spin to the course. Hi
