Kinda a tough class, seems like there's no one to really help you through it. The tests were pretty hard, no one does particularly well on them. Quizzes given by the TA were not as hard. Do the homework to make sure you understand the concepts

Unless you have no choice do not take professor Feighn. Feighn has unrealistic exceptions of his students (tests are very tough). On top of this his practice tests are different the actual test making it even harder.

Do not take if you want a good GPA! Feign is one of the worst professor's in the math department and is unwilling to help, regardless of your salutation . Calc is a hard subject and Feighn makes it unnecessarily harder.

HORRIBLE. worst class i have ever taken. It's a lecture class so theres a lot of students who talk, distract, etc. Professor Feighn talks way too fast, and could never make a simple problem clear and easy to understand. he mostly uses a whiteboard so if you are sitting in the back, GOOD LUCK. You wont see anything.

Horrible do not take. Gives practice exams that are nothing like the test, and are designed to make you mess up. Not an easy grader, and gives little to no extra credit. DO NOT RECOMEND

Do not take him! One of the worst profs I had. His TA was not helpful at all. He just goes over some of the hw in class and expects you to understand it all. Midterm and final was hard. i do not recommend him !

He has a tough time explaining concepts and the point of each topic. Tests are very difficult and will give problems that he never went over on the exam. If your TA is foreign and your having a hard time in the class then good luck! I needed the class for the business school and failed with him. took it the next semester and got a B+.. HOW???

He teaches really well. Show up to class or don't doesn't really matter as long as you know the material you shall pass. If you dont however, then just make sure to get someone to sign you in and youll be good to go. really reccommend him. Very nice guy and will offer all the help you need so you are able to understand the material.

Overall the class sucks. It isn't professor Feighn, though. The structure of the class is terrible with far too much material that needs to be learned in too little time. On top of that, there are over 150 students assigned to a class. If you aren't good at math then you will be struggling. Professor Feighn is really a great, helpful guy.

He explains the material really well! 2 midterms, final, weekly quizzes and hw due on MyMathLab (textbook isn't necessary). Exams are brutal and long. Do the hw and practice test over and over and you should do well on the exams. He is also very helpful, if you have any questions see him or his TA after class and they'll explain it to you.

His classes are a 200+ lecture . When it comes to math you definitely need practice and the two days a week the class was given he never ever showed anything. Besides asking if there where questions on the hw which none did since the hw had similar examples on the side . His review sheets are NOTHING like the actual test so be-careful .

I did not use book since it was on mymathlab. ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW IS ~7 DERIVATIVE RULES AND ~7 ANTIDERIVATIVE RULES!!! Know these rules and how to use them obviously, you SHOULD get at least B. All he teaches through whole course. Good and clear professor, not knowing and not PRACTICING these rules before exams made me play catch up, my fault*

He is super easy!!!! Rarely use the textbook, but you need to get MyMathLab b/c the homework is online. Take notes because he explains it so well. Weekly quizzes, three exams, and he gives you practice exams that will look similar to the real one. You should take this for your general requirements.

This is an "ehhhhh" professor. He gives weekly homework and it take about 3 to 4 hours to complete. In the beginning you will passing everything with A's but after the first midterm it gets very challenging. Hes okkay, not someone you would run away from but not someone you should look forward to taking.

Agree. Taught everything using examples from bk, but tested harder. Watch out--didn't follow practice exams. Quizzes very tricky, not related to lectures; online homework very time consuming. Pedagogically, this course has real problems. But teacher showed lack of respect for us. Didn't seem to care; maybe assumed we're dumb,lazy or inept.(Got a B+
