Most of the past comments are right. ONLY 3 exams & most of the questions are little details that don't really pertain to the big picture. I didn't really learn anything because I was more concerned about tiny details. THE GREAT THING IS his curves on exams are HUGE. I got A+A+C= final grade B+. Thought I had an A for sure. Watch out, read well.

pretty easy. Take his class if you are ok with memorizing notes and only taking 3 tests. he doesn't waste time, with all that other busy work. He does have some rather odd questions on his tests, but only a few. Pretty easy to get a B. I never read the book, just watched the lecture videos and looked through the notes.

Very difficult professor. Do not take his class. Trust me. this guy ruined my 4.0 GPA - I got a B from him. Not even a B+. He is not a teacher! He has YOU read the text. Then he proceeds to give you very unreasonably obscure questions - points about the subject that are not EVEN important!! He is NOT a good teacher!

Very difficult class - no interaction with students. Not a caring professor. No notes, no help at all with the material. Final grade is based only on 3 exams the entire semester. Ageing is a fascinating topic - just take it from a prof with some dynamic teaching skills - not Floyd.

Difficult but educational and interesting. His lectures cover a lot of stuff and it's very necessary to read the book to pass. My method was to memorize most of the notes to leave time to look through my book for unanswered ?'s. I got and A+ but it's not easy.

The tests are very very very hard. You study and it does not do anything for your. His strategy is to pick useless things out of all the assigned reading and then test on it. His online lectures or boring as well. If you do not have to take this class then dont.

Do not take this professor...take someone else that acutally cares about the students and wants to help them. He doesn't give any great advice or tells you what questions you miss on the exams. If you suck at taking exams do not take this class. Your grade is based on 3 exams and thats it, no assignments, no discussions, etc.

Even from the video lectures, it's obvious that Dr. Floyd approaches his subject with empathy and sincerity. His tests can have some pretty quirky questions, but he curves above and beyond what is necessary (the mean score always ends up in the low to mid 80's). He doesn't interact much with students online, but I'll bet he's a great prof "live."

I agree, no feedback on incorrect questions was concerning, but overall I enjoyed the class. No unnecessary posting to bulletin, blah blah, just take the tests and get a grade. He curved pretty good too. I like that it wasn't filled with 10 quizes, assignments, postings and BS. Just lectures and 3 tests.

I found this on-line class diffcult, although the materials were interesting. There are only three exams for the course. However, as the Prof. provides no info relating to incorrect answers on the exams, the student is left wondering where he/she went wrong and presumably forever ignorant. I find this very unsatisfactory!

I thought this was a great class! The entire class consisted of three tests, so aside from reading the chapters, there wasn't much work to do. The tests were hard, but because of the curve it's easy to do well. I got a B+ in the class and I really enjoyed the material. I recommend it to anyone who is a good test taker!

HARD tests. I read the text & took notes (same as my other classes) and could not get an A in this class to save my life. Test questions are random, not covered in the lecture - buried in the text. No one got an A in this class without the curve. Online class takers BEWARE! Tests are ridiculousy hard. Learned alot, but my GPA suffered - my first B.

Class sucked! The final was so hard he had to add 15 points to it so that at least one person got 99% and the lowest was 43%. The test had a lot of questions that were not in lecture or book.

This is an on-line class with ten great lectures and only one textbook. The only down-side is that the three timed tests are extremely difficult, and using your notes and book takes too much time, so study material well!
