Professor Fowler is the best engineering professor I've ever had. He is a great lecturer. When I began signals + systems, I really didn't think I'd like it, he has made me enjoy it more than any of my classes. Besides his teaching, he's always willing to help in his office hours, and he's hilariously funny. 10/10 would take again.

Granted that signals & systems is difficult to begin with, he manages to compound this tenfold. A more conventional approach might be useful. He's about 90% there, with a bit of fine tuning I'm sure he could be a great professor. Should you not heed my warning, find someone with past exams & answers, and do not use the textbook.

Fowler is one of the best professors in the EECE department here. Uses a "flipped" style teaching so be sure to watch the lecture vids before class (usually does an iClicker quiz within the first 5mins). HW and Exams are fair (exams you get a cheat sheet for each as well as for the final). Final exam was difficult. Final Project was interesting

SIgnals & Systems was the more difficult class i've taken in College. However, not just because of the subject matter - but because Professor Fowler was very discouraging and condescending. When you enter his office hours be prepared for him to make you seem imbecilic and inept. I've never been so disrespected by a professor, or really anyone.

One of my favorite professors in college so far. For the most part everything you needed to pass was made available to you, and it was up to you to do the work or not. The thing I loved about his class was the practice problems he gave us. Going through in class problems before tests made learning the material much easier and more enjoyable.

Professor Fowler is a very intelligent teacher, but maybe too much for his own good. Signals & Systems is by far the most difficult class i've ever taken. The concepts are hard to decipher, and every time i'd go to his office hours - he's tell me that i haven't been applying myself. He's very discouraging and blunt, which comes across as rude.

Hardest class I've taken in college. This class changed my views on college. It's the only class that ever challenged me in college. Only class that make me think. This class made me want to apply myself. Fowler is tough, he's strict, and yet the best teacher I've ever had. You can't bs this class. Actually apply yourself and it's worth it.

Professor Fowler is one of the best professors I have had. He makes complex material easy to understand and is always ready to help those who ask for it. Grading is fair and accurately displays course understanding. He is the only professor I know that has successfully used the 'flipped classroom' technique. Fowler also has great humor!

One of the shining stars of the Electrical Engineering program at Binghamton University. The class is not easy, but if you work hard you will be surprised at how much you learn from him. The flipped lecture atmosphere also helps tremendously. Make sure to watch the videos prior to class. You will LEARN!!!!!

Very helpful, funny, and easy to follow, especially with the "flipped" classroom. Tests can be a bit tricky, but as long as you really study the material, and how to use the different methods, Signals and Systems shouldn't be too bad. A+ Professor

His course material is difficult but he does a great job at explaining it in pictures. Even if he's a little difficult to follow in class, his slides are very, very easy to learn from. Better than the textbook. Homework may be long and tedious, although it is nothing compared to what you'll see the following semester. One of the better EECE profs.

One of the best teachers you'll ever have in engineering. He's very helpful during class, and he really cares about his students learning and getting a good grade from his class. Class average on exams was very high. Explains concepts very clearly. Take advantage of his review materials before the exams, and you'll be set. Funny guy too!

Prof. Fowler is an amazing guy. He is not only very knowledgeable about what he is doing, but he is a great professor as well. He cares about the students, puts up tons of review material throughout the semester, and uses video lectures (good to learn from). He is a fair grader and would love to take more of his classes!
