Comment:
Frydenberg was my least favorite professor this semester. He is extremely condescending. We did a project for the with some Romanian students and it was so unclear on what to do. He is very flexible on due dates though. Pretty much as long as you have everything in by the end of the semester youre good. Pretty easy 4.0

Professor Frydenberg gives a couple frustrating group projects, but other than that he is alright. You learn a lot of useful stuff between Excel and HTML and there was a pretty cool trip to an Amazon testing center. If you do all the work you should get a high grade. Final and midterm are rough with the SAM program but he curved them nicely.

Professor Frydenberg was an alright professor. Wasn't very clear on what was due for class. Homework wasn't bad, SAM projects were easy 100s. Had a bunch of random projects throughout class, one with Romanian students, which was hard to organize. Midterm and final were ok as you could look up answers on computer and just needed to know Excel.

The IT101 Honors class is really easy if you have any knowledge of computers, but Frydenberg made it more confusing than necessary with his weird project requirements. Again, class is easy, but he would make our projects confusing so you didn't really know what he was looking for. If you just include enough stuff you'll be fine though. Pretty easy.

Frydenberg is a really chill guy and very up to date on his technology. We went on a field trip to the Microsoft Center which no other professors did. There are lots of extra credit opportunities and he replies very fast to emails. Overall this class is super easy as long as you are some knowledge of computers.

I did not mind this professor that much. He is very knowledgeable in his field so he demonstrates some interesting new technology during class. I feel I gained some valuable computer skills and vocabulary that I would not have with another professor. The Romania project can be rough but it is not too terrible. Participate in service learning!

He spends most of class either bragging about his accomplishments or trying to demonstrate new toys. Not the greatest at explaining things and the syllabus is not very clear. Usually forgets upload assignments on time, but if you forget to turn something in through blackboard, he usually takes it late. Incredibly slow grader.

Frydenberg is a pretty awkward guy. He spends most of the class showing off his toys and gadgets rather than actually teaching and sending us off with assignments to do on our own. Not to mention the syllabus is incorrect and he doesn't grade anything until the semester's over. Fall semester sucks because of the Romanian project. Not an easy 4.0

Not the worst choice for IT101, but not my favorite professor. His class is very straightforward but getting a 4.0 is less achievable than you think. Exams aren't too hard, but the grading system is full of glitches (digital and conceptual) and felt unfair. Also hard to keep up with assignments because the syllabus isn't clear.

He is hard to understand in class because his speech is not clear. Never grades any assignments throughout the semester so you don't know what your grade is until the very end. Midterm was alright. Games project is TERRIBLE. However, I would recommend taking IT 101 Honors because it's an easy A. Never used my textbook once.

I'm already a tech nerd, so Frydenberg was like the brother of my soul. He's great; makes weird jokes then laughs at them, and you can tell he loves everything he's talking about. Everything you learn in the class is useful, and he's a very fair grader. Basically, you show up and you pass.

Most of the grades are things done out of class, and it's pretty easy. Excel isn't hard to pick up, and that's what the class mostly consists of. We also made gamesapps which was pretty fun (not hard, don't worry). I did hate a project where we had to work with Romanians, but I guess we had WAY more time than we needed to do it so I can't complain

Great guy, if you are remotely computer literate before this class, you can pass it with just about no effort. He spends much of class showing you his favorite web sites and teaching random stuff. For the most part, you are left to figure out the excel assignments (which aren't hard). Definitely take him, he is a great prof.

This professor was awesome, you just had to get his humor. Ya he's vague sometimes but its the internet..there's a solution to everything out there for any question he asks and as long as you participate and show enthusiasm he let us change around certain assignments etc. I highly recommend

Really, this guy isn't bad at all. Its an exploratory course into new web applications. Just show some enthusiasm for facebook and twitter and talk to him about cool Web 2.0 sites/concepts you heard about. He'll love it and will make the class more interesting. Yes, he's awkward, but don't take that as intimidating. Overall, good guy, easy grade.

Take this class if you can bare with his grumpy attitude. He's ****, bored, and boring to hear. I don't think he can survive without the internet. Very vague..Intimidating..I would take this class if someone else was teaching it. Sadly, he's the only one. Hence, the attitude.

His CS299 class(Web 2.0) is very interesting. But, he's very vague at explaining what he wants. He's super intimidating and can make you feel like**** in less than 50 seconds. You never know what/how to study for this class (esp. midterm/final). He thinks he's God when it comes to the internet. Don't try to go against his opinion. Be careful.
