Does not teach. After the first couple classes, more than half of the class were not showing up already as because he was going through the history of business. He teaches too little and narrates on unrelated stuffs too much. I would choose another prof. if I can to re-learn finance.

Avoid at all costs. Sullivan rambles on during class about totally unrelated topics. Doesn't curve at all. Is no help in learning finance either--you have to teach yourself from the book. Definitely switch out if you find out you have him.

He is a good guy outside of class, always available, defintely knows finance, and can learn if you meet with him one on one. However, can not teach a class. VERY boring.In order to do well, you have to be good at teaching yourself by reading the book alot.He also NEVER responds to emails.He wants others to do well, but won't curve.Take someone else

The worst professor I have had at Bentley. Does not know how to use a financial calculator, yet doing well on tests depends largely on ability to use one. Does not teach during class, just rambles on about nothing. Tests are tough, you MUST read the textbook, as Sullivan is no help. Avoid at all costs!

Sullivan is without a doubt the worst professor I have ever had. The class average for his midterm was a 64 and he didn't curve it at all. with around 25% getting under a 50. Reading the book is a must because he rambles about nothing during class. Don't take ever or you will regret it. Also has no idea how to use a financial calculator

He tries to scare you from taking the class/major by saying that most people fail and he doesn't feel bad for them. The first half of semester is a joke, with the midterm questions coming right from a "test bank", but in the second half he doesn't teach you ANYTHING during class, not to mention he DOESNT know how to use a financial calculator

Just don't even think about taking him, or you'll regret for the rest of your life! He should be fired immediately! My entire class got Ds on the midterm. Doesn't teach, rude, plays with his belly button in class, gives exams that have nothing to do with class material. AVOID!!!

I am really surprised that he is still allowed to teach. He doesn't respond to emails, and he's has all disdain for students. Does not give partial credit on his awful exams. The entire class got a D- average on a test, and he will not curve it. Doesn't try to meet you halfway. Do not take him, even if he's the last teacher for a course.

The worst professor ever. Avoid taking him if possible. Doesn't teach. I wasn't a finance major so I didn't understand anything he said. Only the finance majors did well on his exams because of other classes they took. When more people get a D or below on the midterm than a C or above that says something. AVOID!!!!!!!! BEWARE!!!!!

Despite the fact that he is a hottie, he doesn't teach much and is stubborn like the rest of the Finance department. He knows everything, and since he doesn't find it challenging you shouldn't either even if your major isn't finance.The first exam was ridiculous,and you have to memorize everything. 301 finance, clusteres with Salsbury which was good. First exam, you needed to know how to do the problems from the book, but he didnt teach that stuff. Second exam was easier cause it was exatly what he did in excel in the prior classes. just had to know how to do it without excel. i studied, did well. cant expect everythin to be spoon fed to you.

Honestly, Sullivan isn't that bad. Yes, he picks his bellybutton and stares. Yes, he goes on wild tangents like no other. In the end, what he covers on the tests is exactly what he says he will - no more, no less. He does actually explain everything you need to know in class - in between long, drawn-out stories.
