Great for logic. He's good for the more advanced courses and for PHIL 1150. Good sense of humor and has been around the world.

I would say this guy needs to get his license if he didn't already I assume. he has no rhythm in his teaching at all! how do you expect your students to learn if you don't make use of the white board and the screen! and how do you expect us to get a good grade in your class with only 1 assignment.. and everything else dependent on two tests?

This "intro" course isn't welcoming at all, he uses a lazy method of teaching including trick questions on exams where fresh students with little or no background in philosophy are left to have a horrendous experience.

I don't even care how the teacher is as long as they grade easy. Glouberman grades very difficult. It's like he just writes C on everyones assignments. Scribbles a bunch of stuff on it you can't even read. I got a C-. This guy needs to ease up on the marking, give some A's and B's. Nobody in my class that i talked to got higher than a C+

I am an A-B student and I received my only D ever in his class. You can not even read his writing and he tells you to refer to his notes for test prep. I am totally off philosophy because of the time I spent with him. Terrible experience and nobody in the class was happy with it. He ruined my GPA and transcripts.

His class was purely lecture-based with no notes or slides. He goes off on weird tangents and is quite confusing. Despite these things, I got a B by reciting his opinions in my essay/exams.

No slideshow notes, everything he teaches is recited. Doesn't teach philosophy, just talks about it. It's very annoying! most of his assignments are irrelevant to the course material.

To anyone wanting to take Phil with this proffessor, don't! Although he has many interesting stories to tell, he gets very off topic and does not explain course material very clearly. Almost all of the testing material is from what he has taught in class.

Avoid takin his class if u can. He is one of the worst teachers I've ever had.His comments on assignments r so messy & he offers no notes . If u don't like speaking in class, this class is NOT 4 u. A super hard marker, very difficult to get a high mark on assignments. Funny guy, but lectures r CONFUSING, basically says whatever off top of his head.

If you are planning on being in his class, you MUST attend it at all cost because if you don't - the chances of doing well in exams are extremely low. He doesn't write clear notes down and just scribbles on the board so if you want to take notes , it would be by ear. Also, he can tend to mumble a bit during class lectures. Good luck!

Smart guy, somewhat funny. I didn't find his class that hard. My final essay was actually kind off-topic but he still gave me a B on it. He does have a tendency to talk on and on but if you engage him in class, not too hard to figure out what he is communicating.

Funny guy. Lectures felt like they dragged on for hours at times but most of the stuff comming outta the guys mouth was helpful. Other times he would go on and on for hours talking about pretty much nothing. Funny guy, though. Funny guy.

Good guy but not the best prof.If you're taking this course as an elective or for the credits, I suggest you switch out. Hard maker and lectures are extremely unclear. He does not uses any form of visual notes, as well as, if you do not write exactly as he says it on the test than he will deduct marks. Only 3 people were passing in a class of 20+.

Great philosophy teacher. Talked a lot, but it flowed and made sense. If you listen, you'll follow. He likes to make scenarios and ask what you'd do, so it was interactive!Tests and paper was easy, maybe because this was a compressed course. He summarized our readings and there was a LOT to read. he's helpful and friendly, and attentive. great teac

You have to attend each and every class to even have the slightest grasp of what this man is trying to get at; will contradict himself during lectures; talks in a very convoluted fashion which makes it impossible to understand his point, and makes it hard for you to come up with your own conclusions. If you regurgitate his lectures, you'll be okay.

Hes an alright guy, but hes not that funny and his class goes on for ever sometimes if its a 3 hour class. Everything he says is on the test so you should definently write down everything he says. If you do that you will probably do good.
