Professor is super chill, I love it. He gives good feedback on papers. He tries to make sure you are improving on papers as well. He also makes sure that before you start a paper that you know what you're doing. In class discussions help with papers so pay attention, or take notes.

Dr. Hodin's teaching style is fantastic. Very adaptive to students and encourages open dialogue. Lets you revise your work and build your skills. All the literature you read is interesting. Took an approach to American Lit that focuses on immigration, diversity and culture, which is very important.

Dr. Hodin is one of the best professors I have ever had. The plays can be boring by themselves, but he makes them really fun and the class discussions are interesting. He brings in actual videos of the plays so you can understand them better. HIGHLY reccomend.

He is a very nice teacher. Knows that not everyone is a skilled writer, and he gives you a grade that is best fit for you. Make sure you read everything for class. Take notes and you'll do good on the essays. He has a midterm and a final. 3 long papers throughout the semester and just a few short ones. Nothing crazy and really easy to get an A.

Hodin is very nice. He allows you to make up papers that you didn't score so well on. He understands that not everyone is going to be an excellent writer and he is there to help you. You read books and articles that help you look at deeper meanings of life. All in all he is a great professor.

Hodin is a good english teacher. He knows his stuff and lets you drive the discussion. The class was reading plays and talking about them. You have to write a few one page papers and 3 five to six page papers, but you can base them off one of the one page papers. Easy class.

This was my favorite class this semester. You only have a couple of papers due the whole year. All of the reading was extremely odd, but it made it interesting. He's a great guy. I would definitely recommend him.

One of the best professors I had at Canisius, and I was a science major. He is somewhat of a tough grader, but it made me a better writer and has truly helped me in graduate school. Make an effort to participate in class, he always values any opinions. If you put in the effort, he will give you a good grade, and you WILL become a better writer

This class was at times boring, but he has his moments. The stories were a tad weird...but the class was fun. There are no tests, except a midterm and a final. The papers are your biggest concern and they are overall easy. He helps out a lot with topics and you won't spend a lot of time on it.

Nicest guy. Plays we read weren't too difficult, and all connected in some way. No quizzes, only a midterm and final exam. Midterm was a little bit difficult, but if you read the plays and attend class you won't have much of an issue with the course.

Last name should be Houdini, as in, he makes your As turn into Bs. My friend and I both got As on all essays in our HON101 class but once we got to his class, we both got Bs. He expects too much for a 100 level course, as he frequently assigns large quantities of reading. Good guy who is willing to help, but is not always straightforward.

Nice guy, but expects way too much from a 102 class. Treats class like it is your only one, and expects you to read a 200+ pg book in a week. Very tough essay grader. Asks odd questions in class that causes a ton of awkward silences. Great person, but not recommended as a professor.

A great teacher. Does not lecture, opens the class to discussion and really has a great way of teaching. He brings himself down to the same level as the students and doesnt give out too much homework but when he does, they are assignments that get you thinking in new and cool ways
