When you are a second semester senior, you do not want to do anything, and you do not do anything in this class. He brings donuts if you have the class in the mornings. Just do the work assigned and you will pass. We literally had a crossword puzzle as one of our exams. Class is a perfect time to job hunt.

Dr. Hoffman was a great lecturer. I see a lot of reviews that say he was boring but I did not get that. The class is discussion led a lot and that makes it harder for me because I would prefer traditional lecture.

tough subject to teach but he makes a good go at it. He is very clear about the assignments and his dry sense of humor makes it more tolerable. as long as you are making an effort to form coherent thoughts you should do well.

Could put a room full of hyperactive kindergardeners to sleep. Not at all interested in knowing his students or helping. Class was an exercise in jumping through hoops, not getting WHY readings mattered. Exam= horrible,unclear instructions, grades=shock.

He has a very amusing dry sense of humor that keeps lectures interesting. He is always willing to help students out, and is very organized with his assignments and letting students know ahead of time exactly what will be expected.
