Comment:

I took him for Biology 1406 for a full semester and we only had like 4 test grades and that was it, we didn't have any extra credit and there was maybe 1 other grade. The tests are very detailed and sort of hard to study for because you don't really know what will be on the test and the tests we had were set up as stations.

This class was the HARDESSSTT class Ive ever taken. BORINGGG. Lectures are LONG, he literally just reads from the powerpoint and you just write notes. The exams were EXTREMELY HARD, I can literally say that at least 80% of the people in my class were barely passing. You wont ever use the books so a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend taking him.

VERRYYYY BORINGGGG. He's a sweet guy, but needs to retire. He is crazy boring and talks very softly. There is absolutely no fun in learning and his lectures are so long. He tells you to buy a book but DONT ! WASTE OF MONEY!!! I had the class that's all day Mondays and its the WORST! Lecture teacher was AMAZING but not kelly.

First of all, the person saying you need to know the classifications, you do BUT, he gives you a list of them on the exam you just have to match them. You seriously cant fail his class if you just show up. He does reviews, will tell you ANYTHING you want to know. He cares a lot and really wants all to be successful. Id take again for sure.

Took a hybrid class and he was my lab instructor, he expects you to know phylum classifications kingdom to the dot for the practicals, must know spelling because he takes of points. He gives the review (4pgs) you must memorize EVERYTHING. I wouldn't take this class at all too much info to know in short amount of time, TOUGH! Don't I repeat DONT

I found Mr. Kelley to be very intelligent and thoroughly enjoyed his lectures. I hardly studied and made an A+. You can skate by without the textbook, however I found it somewhat useful, but never read more than 10 pages. His lecture tests are covered in his notes taken in class so try to make up what you miss. I recommend this professor.

He is a boring teacher, but just attend his class & write the notes since his exams are word-for-word. His practicals are very hard, I suggest taking pics or stay after class and study them. I got a B, but Im happy with it. Buy a caffeine drink to stay awake for his lectures & labs. I recommend a study group for this class.

Overall, good professor. Lectures are slow and sometimes boring. Gives a review over everything that will be on the test. Notes go almost word for word with the review. Easy class if you study the notes (buying the book is pointless). I recommend studying more for the practicals than the tests, because they are harder. Get him for biology!

Smart in his field. Has class where NOBODY says a word. He only reads from his notes, with rare explanation of information. U R so busy writing notes, that once you have a ?, he is already 2 or 3 topics down the lecture. doesnt make class relavent. BAD, BAD

Nice guy but can be a little boring. He makes little jokes here & there, trying to break up monotony. Tests are pretty much notes only and he gives you study guides. All you have to do is study a little and you should be fine. If you mess up in this class it is because you didn't. A fish guy for sure. There is some extra credit. Respect him.

Good teacher... likes fish...ALOT.... the course is not all that interesting to start with... the first half of biology is the good and hard stuff.... this half is more talking about evolution... didnt cover body systems very well so watch out mcat takers... but he will help and explain anything in detail so I give him a plus and test were fair

I agree with the comment below. This guy is BORING! He takes the joy out of learning. Don't buy a book; his lec notes are what his test covers. It's just too much information. if you are good at memorizing, you will be fine. BTW, for our final week: paper is due, plus 3 exams. Yes, I said 3 exams on the final week!!!!!!

Professor does not know how to teach so he uses lecture notes and study guides. His classes are extremely boring! Lecture is basically taking down notes for the entire period while you hear him go off tangent. If you are not good at memorizing, do not take his class. If you are, you should get an A or B. Professor Kelly is a NICE GUY but BORING!!!!

This guy is amazing!!! His class was fun and interesting. He is super nice and extremely helpful. Tests are directly from the notes in class, so take good notes. Lab is easy and fun. There is no homework and he gives extra credit. I wish I could have Prof. Kelly for every class. He really is the best professor I have had thus far.

LOVE LOVE LOVED him!!!! He is a great Prof! Follow his notes! Study directly from Reviews. Test Very easy if you study your review. Lab Practicals EASY. Took my book to class a few times.. don't really need it! He gives extra credit! Be kind to him hes a great one!!!

This professor is super easy. I took him in the summer for both bio 1406&1407. There's alot of materials to cover but if you study the study guide that he gives, you will guarantee to make an A. THe test covers everything on the study guide. THe test all multiply choice. THere's only 1 written assignment, but it's super easy.
