Professor Saint-Amour was instrumental in converting from a bio major to an English major. He is brilliant, witty and personable ~ although at times his genius made me feel pretty slow... he's also very punctual and reliable. He wrote law school recs for me and probably other recs too!

This man is one of the best teachers I have ever had. I am now in graduate school for Victorian Literature because of him. Absolutely brilliant, personable, approachable, he will make you care. I took every one of his classes that I could. He will vastly improve your writing.

Amazing Professor. Saint-Amour is incredibly intelligent and extremely enthusiastic. His love for the subject makes it impossible not to like the class. I highly recommend taking a class from him, even if you don't like literature!

at most two students at a time knew what he was walking about. he's brilliant but can't bring it down for everyone who is not as educated as he. i was often stuck when writin ghis papers cuz i couldn't figure out what the prompt was saying. he's a nice guy but i didn't learn much.

an amazing guy who is really passionate about the literature he had us read. great to talk to one on one. our class had some really good movie nights and even ate out in the village together once. he's a hard grader, but he's really helpful in helping you to learn how to write clearly and persuasively.

Great prof, great class. Even for those who dislike the victorian era, this class is a joy. He can lead a discussion like no other teacher I've seen. He's never demeaning and always helpful and humorous. Best prof I've had, and I'd believe it if I were told he was the best prof at Pomona
