you can tell her loves what he does for a living. he loves to help you. you dont need the text book at all so dont buy it but you will need the lab book. he literally just lectures and thats what the quizes and tests consist of. so study the lecture that he posts online and youll get an A. very cool professor

Ways to get good grades: study the lectures, keep your lab quizzes, study the lab hints, and ask questions if you are confused. Mark is really funny and nice guy and makes biology relatable. The exams can be challenging if you don't really know the material. He puts his lectures in simple terms and the exams in technical terms. STUDY THE LECTURES!

Let me start by saying I hate science. I was dreading even having to take this class. Mr. Mayo is the best college professor to have. His grading is fair, his lectures don't put you to sleep. Take his class! Textbook use is none however you do need the lab manual. Best teacher at Cypress hands down.

One of the best professors I've ever had! He's funny and makes the lectures informative and interesting. His tests are based only his notes. He gives you study guides for the tests and lab hints for weekly lab quizzes! I was afraid of taking biology (I typically don' t like science) but this class made me love bio! This class is by far the most fun I have had in college. His lectures are extremely clear and informative topped with his great sense of humor. Class is organized and grading is very fair. Lecture/Lab attendance (mandatory), light load of homework, weekly Lab quizzes, and multiple choice tests on related material, sum up the class. Fun, fun, fun!

This guy is rlly cool, and his class passd by with no urge to 'just get home'. Grading in the class is very fair.THe only thing I didn't like is the 'Lab Exam'.We took quizzes and were expcted to memorize every singleanswer, evn if we didn't have the ansrs wtf? Many Of u may not get wat Im saying. Butif you take him SAVE UR QUIZES WIT THE ANSWERS!!

Professor Mayo is one of my favorite professor in cypress. He is very passionate in teaching and makes everything sound easy and interesting! Lecture/lab attendances are must, It is actually hard NOT to pass this class because his grading system is designed to get an A-B if you actually study/finish all the assignments including weekly lab quizNo need textbook! He gets done lab really quickly but never skips materials. Very organized. Take this class!!! You won't regret it! :)

Mr Mayo is by far the best and my most favorite college professor. I've been in college forever and have had many teachers but he is hands down the greatest. Go to class and lab, you get points for attendance and don't miss the quizzes! The quizzes are not hard, he gives you the hints a week in advance. Pay attention in lecture, no need for text

Professor Mayo was GREAT! If you haven?t taken biology classes in a long time I recommend you take this class. Professor Mayo made the class exciting and understandable! Mr. Mayo made a difficult subject fun and understandable. The key is to study the quiz hints during lab, and focus on his lectures! Only issue I had was the lectures were in really simple terms, but the tests are in scientific language so make sure you study!!! Great teacher and I will recommend him to anyone!
