This class is all about reading the book because thats what the final is based on. He is an easy grader, gives out the same grade to everyone. However he doesnt teach the material of the course, but honestly if u read one chapter per week and take notes youll be fine

after the drop deadline passed he changes to a whole new person, makes you feel like you're stupid for asking a question. He taught us nothing about what the subject was and he knows nothing about the subject either! he walks into class without knowing what to do that class. the grade you'll receive depends if he likes you or not. Also very rude

He yells if you use your laptop or phone in class and he talk about irrelevant things the whole class. His grading makes no sense and even though you will work had don't expect a good grade. Also you need to read the book yourself to pass the final. TBH even if he is the only option for comm 205 don't take him it will ruin your GPA

Mark is an interesting teacher and gives wise advice during his classes. As long as you're awake and ready to participate, his class is enjoyable and quite easy to pass! Of course, for the final, you have to read your textbook... But isn't that any university course?

Terrible teacher and very hard grader... Doesn't prepare us for the final whatsoever. He doesn't believe in perfect grades. Most of the grading in this class is papers and orals which he will grade according to his personal opinion. He will take off marks from your paper for little to no reason. AVOID THIS TEACHER

I actually ended up liking him even though i havent read one good review about him. He does teach you life lessons. His lectures are simple and very chilled out. I really enjoyed his lectures even tho topics were a bit boring. Hes a tough grader but does give As (just make sure u meet EVERYTHING on his rubric). Also,et ready to meditate with him!

Medicoff was probably the worst teacher I've ever had at JMSB (I graduated with straight A's except in a few classes, his included). He does not care about teaching at all. The only thing we did was to have class presentations EVERY SINGLE CLASS. His feedback were superficial and he doesn't care how much you work, he'll grade you as hard as he can.

Probably one of the worst teachers i took this semester. Final exam is based on book, doesnt touch it once. I know for a fact he skims through our individual project, so all the hard work you put in doesnt reflect your grade, its more on how he bases how you are. Stay away, ended up with a C+ , when this class is a easy B,B+

Avoid at all costs! Nice guy, fun lectures, but his grading makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I am an advanced English student and received what he calls a "generous" 60% for our formal report worth 25%. After reviewing the report he said I was "lucky he didn't reduce my grade". Beware, this teacher will hurt your GPA!

Possibly the worst teacher. He is completely useless. He doesn't teach you the textbook at all and the whole final exam (40%) is on the textbook. Instead he teaches you about compassionate communication a boring subject that he is passionate about. He is an extremely hard grader on the formal report. Attendance is mandatory. Extremely rude. AVOID

He doesn't do anything during the semester and you have no preparation for the exam. You have to buy the textbook and teach yourself. That being said, the course is not that hard if you keep up with the textbook. As long as you put the effort to read the chapters on your own, you'll do fine. Finished with a B.

Mark Medicoff is a horrible teacher. During the entire semester, he didn't open once the book with us, and then at the end of the semester he said that the final exam is just about the book. He didn't explain any important material. It was really unclear how he wanted the presentation of the project.

Had him for 212 and it started off alright. He seemed funny and down to earth. Once the deadline to drop the course passed, it's as if he he lived to make your semester awful. He preaches being clear and concise but has no idea how to do that himself. Be prepared for long nights, frustrating essays and the urge to drop out rather than deal with him

The best teacher I had this semester. He is hilarious, his courses are interesting and based on YOUR participation. Yes he is a tough grader but his grades are justified. You won't do this class for your GPA, you will do his class to IMPROVE your communication skills (and have fun, his courses are NEVER boring!).

Worst teacher I ever had!!!! AVOID to the max. He doesnt go through the topic for the exam at all. He is a hard marker and find mistakes even in the most perfect and well done work. He is not objective at all; and yes he is Arrogant. AVOID
