Comment:
Dr. Noble was a decent professor. He wrote the textbook used in class and his lectures were nearly identical. The textbook is available online as well as old tests for practice. Your entire grade is based off of four tests (one being the final) so it makes it hard to recover if you arent succeeding early on. Going to lecture helped me succeed.

Noble is your best choice for Chem 201. He lectures based off of his textbook, which is available (for free) on his website. DO THE END OF CHAPTER PROBLEMS! On his exams, a large majority of the questions are straight from his textbook/modified in some way. Attend his lectures as well, some days they may be boring/tiring but worth it in the end.

Great professor and by far the best one for 201 and 202. Only grades are 4 tests, the final, and +2% for recitation. Do the homework (it's not graded) because 1/3 of the exam points are from it. Lectures straight from his book but still engaging. Read the book, go to lecture and recitation, and work the old exams and you will do well.

Dr. Noble is awesome, if you are taking Chem 201 or 202 make sure it is with him. He is engaging and explains things well in a way that can be easily understood. The class itself is difficult and I have to devote a lot of time towards it. Just make sure you read the chapters before lecture and go to lecture and you should be OK.

Chemistry is made easy through Dr. Noble's book and lectures. He genuinely cares about teaching you and wants you to succeed not only in his class, but also in life. He condenses the materials and explains them in an easy to follow manner. Dr. Noble is an EXCELLENT TEACHER ALL AROUND!

Even though he wrote the book, doesn't mean that it is a good book or that he is a good professor. Tries to intentionally trick students on exams by using as many exceptions to rules as possible. Go to lecture and he'll read his book to you verbatim with no additional substance. Most difficult class I've taken, does not prepare you for future chem.

Dr. Noble is a great professor. He knows what he's talking about and after all, he wrote the textbook. If you go to lecture and actually pay attention, your life will be so much easier. I went to lectures and got 100% and 98% on 2 of the exams. When I stopped going to lecture, my test scores showed it. Just go to class. Read the book. Practice.

Noble is great teacher. If you go to class, take notes, and read the book you will do very well in the class. I would also highly recommend going to the SI sessions every week. He doesn't assign any homework and you're only graded on 4 test and final. Every test was only like 10 or so questions.

You don't need to go to every lecture if you read the book and do practice problems. I had no knowledge of chemistry before I came into his class, and I was fine. The best thing to do for this course is to go to the SI sessions and practice the online tests.

Buy the textbook (its only $20), do the end of chapter questions, go to lecture. It doesn't matter if his lecture is essentially him reading the book (he did write it after all), he elaborates more and gives good examples in lecture that you can't get out of the book. Dr. Noble is funny in a nerdy way, which keeps his lectures fairly interesting.

Noble is awesome, I think he is very knowledgeable in the field of Chemistry. However, his tests are extremely difficult. He writes them assuming his students have spent hours working an reworking the end of chapter questions. Great lectures, Great personality, but definitely a hard class. I failed, learn from mistakes and work hard.

I'm an A/B student and got an F in 201 with Noble. Along with others, I had to retake the class because of his god awful tests. I received an A in my retake at another school. highly recommend taking this class with another professor.

Dr. Noble is a great lecturer and is very knowledgeable, but he wrote the book the Chemistry department uses, so his tests are a lot more difficult than other professors. I had to drop this class due to severely low exam grades that I've previously never received. I read every chapter for the first two tests and still failed them miserably.

The only grades in the class are 3 tests and the final. Lectures start out well but usually end up pretty dry by the end. Must read book and do chapter review problems if you want to pass. Gives no partial credit on tests (which, again, are the only grades).

If you don't have any experience in chemistry, you will work very hard and barely pass this class. Dr. Noble expects the general chem class to know advanced concepts, and there are no homework points. Stay away!

One of the best chemistry professors at the university. Read the book, come prepared to class, and attend lecture. All the tests are pretty easy, look at the old tests he posts on his website. Final was not hard due to how amazing of a professor he was. I got an A on every test and the final, simply by reading his book and going to class.

Noble is a good professor, he is energetic and entertaining during lectures. He is very clear on his expectations for the class and is willing to answer any questions. His semester exams and the final are extremely difficult but not impossible. I got an A on the final and in the class. My advice: buy the book, READ it and do all homework problems

Prof. Noble is funny, smart, and energetic during lecture. The downside to this class? Four exams and a final determine your grade. G. Chemistry is a broad topic, and the limited amount of material graded doesn't justify someone's overall knowledge on chemistry. Worst grading system I have ever taken part of.
