I know so many students who've struggled with his class. He's very nice in passing, but if you take his class, you'll see how difficult he can be to work with. He's not very understanding and when he does give you a break, he thinks he's so great for having common decency. He also thinks his classes should be your #1 priority. It's very stressful.

I took Prof. Raduziner's Mass Media and Society class this past fall. Prof. Raduziner is quirky, knowledgeable, and passionate about journalism. I don't think his class was hard, but the reading was heavy but very interesting. The tests can be tricky, so make sure to study and pay attention to the reading material. Good luck!

Mark is the best professor I've had at JCCC. I had his class last year and I am still reaping the benefits. Take him! You won't regret it. He is so knowledgeable about all he does.

2 courses from Raduziner @ JCCC in 90's. (I went on to KU, Cambridge, & MIT). A top notch educator, made an impact on me, & even influenced my own teaching style. Looking back, it impresses me just how much I retained from his classes. This is 20 yrs ago, but wanted to tell current JCCC students, your appreciation of him will grow over time.

He hasn't taught Advanced Reporting in a while, and it shows. He expects you to know more than what you may have already learned in Reporting for the Media, much of the work feels like busy work rather than something you actually learn, his critiques aren't very in-depth, and the assignments aren't explained well. Not recommended for this class.

I took his online Mass Media & Society class not expecting to learn much. I was proven wrong at the end of the semester. Tests were all online & timed, so read the chapter thoroughly, take all the online excursions (links to sites, etc.) that pertain to each chapter. Don't write like you just graduated from middle school, it's a college course.

Mark was a very funny guy, however, he likes to run off his liberal agenda. He gave pretty easy and interesting assignments. There is a presentation at the end and I had received an A on it, however, I had gotten a C for the overall assignment bc I didn't have him look at it before I presented. Pretty dumb since I didn't need his advice obviously.

I liked this class more than I thought I would. I learned more about the media world and its importance. Mark provided tons of information. This is an easy A if you do the work. Weekly quizzes are challenging but are based on the book and the videos he gives us, so you have to study. Mark was really responsive to emails and helpful with questions.

His online mass media and society class was pretty much an easy A as long as you kept up with the reading. The quiz's at the end of the week were pretty tough and we got less than a minute to answer each question. Make sure your discussions are posted on time or else he'll count points off. If you don't get good grades in his class he's rude to you

Pretty fun guy, tells funny stories and he makes the class fun. Shares his liberal views every once in a while. There is a project you do where u have to present a slideshow of a famous event. I got an A on the project but overall a C because I didnt show him my slideshow a couple days b4 I presented so he could "help". Kinda stupid in my opinion.

Looked forward to attending this class. Lots of discussions on interesting media topics. I learned more than I expected. Mark is fun but read the syllabus and take the quizzes (online) by deadline if you want a good grade. He puts responsibility on us as students. But, he's fair, a bit wacky (fun-wise) and has more empathy than most professors.

Discussion response on Mon/Tues, answer classmate's posts on Wed/Thur, and an open book quiz due on Friday. A couple easy writing assignments thrown in. Lots of reading, but it is interesting. No final. A couple bad things - no way to tell the correct answers on quiz & no way to do work on the weekends, everything opens up Mon morning/closes Fri.

Mark was seriously the best teacher I have ever had. He is funny, VERY easy to talk to, and his lectures are interesting. Most of the class was student-led, which was really cool. There's an online quiz every friday, but they're questions straight from the book. If you read the chapters and do the quizzes, it's an easy A. You will also enjoy it!!

I took the online version of this course and enjoyed it very much. The work is consistent; discussion post, discussion replies, reading, web excursions, quiz. Maybe an occassional paper too. You can get it down to a science. He is knowledgable, helpful, and quick to respond. Biggest complaint-no way to see the right answer to missed quiz questions.

At first wasn't sure about Mark. After the first few classes found him to be great. His syllabus is a bit intimidating compared to others. But having no final was great. The papers he has you write are fairly simple if you put in just a little effort. The quizzes should never be failed, the come right out of the book. Great class.

Mark is absolutely amazing! He is hilarious! This was my favorite class. Very professional and helpful. Knows his stuff and has real-world experience. He has been a mentor to me and done everything to help me get in this field. If you're lazy, forget it. Not an easy A. No final, no tests, a few short papers, open book online quizzes every Friday!
