Comment:

I had Shatz for a seminar class on a Friday from 9-5 (Psych of Humor). It was a great seminar! BUT, the class had to do three Blackboard assignments (took me an hour each to do), and another paper just for the seminar. If it were either/or, it wouldn't be a big deal. It was just added stress to the end of the semester.

Comment:

Shatz is funny, caring, and always finds a way to make the lecture interesting. Played music before class every day and his jokes are actually funny. Tests are a bit difficult but he makes sure you are prepared and if you actually study correctly it's not bad. Overall great professor!

Best professor I've ever had hands down! He really tries to keep you entertained and engaged in the lectures. He's constantly telling jokes and is upbeat. Taught me some amazing study skills that I still use to this day. The way he teaches really makes you understand the material

This is my favorite class by far. I envy Psychology majors who get to take more classes from him. He keeps the class moving, and incorporates interesting tangents in the middle of his lectures to keep the class's attention. He focuses a lot on personal study habits and strategy, and is always available after class if you need extra assistance.

Shatz is a great professor. He has a strange sense of humor, but if you get it like I did, it is really fun. He gets students interested and provides them with all of the information they need to study. His tests are hard, but he prepares you for them. Loved him!
