I always enjoyed his class. I had him right before he became head of the dept so I"m not sure how he was after. I could see power going to his head though

I recall that he is extrememly arrogant and unless you are a Spanish major, or persuing grad. work, he can be VERY condescending. I think he would rather be doing reserach than teaching, at least that is the persona he gives off.
