The class was his first for teaching multiple classes at one time. He was not very good at it. He didnt reach photo 1 very much at all, and focused on photo 3 - photo 2 was left to figure out what he wanted. Knows what he's talking about -focuses too much on attendance.

Mark is awesome. He is quirky, and anal, but that's really his only downfall. He CAN be very helpful, but forgetful as well. His adv. studio class is the best taught class in the fine arts dept. Always professional, a great person to know in the art world.

Sorry, but his dollhouse photos are awful... and he only likes stuff identical to his work. If you are a minor, change now. I made A's and classmates liked my work, but I was told i "don't matter" because I am "only a minor." Exact words. Apparently actually showing up for class and doing work well (and spending hours outside class) means nothing.

mark is soooo obsessive compulsive, it's funny. worries too much about attendence. Really tries to be a fair guy. critiques can be helpful, or dredgingly long and terrible. I think he pays too much attention to popular opinion in relation to critiquing ones work, and not enough to his own judgements. also is a handsome dude.

He pushes his students to work hard, and encourages students to explore regions outside of the box. He is a visually intelligent man and gives a great amount of constructive criticism. People incapable of taking criticism shouldn't be in college. Oh, and he likes to talk, a lot..... And can be a little flighty at times.

Slakard leaves me baffled and confused, one class he will be enormously helpful and the next he is exhausted from his previous class and takes everyone's motivation down with him. He also expects his majors to imulate his style and is not accepting or encouraging of differing artist styles. I do not feel that he treats all students equally BEWARE!

Luckily I had photo before I took his classes, otherwise I'd still be trying to figure out where the on button is. Good at playing favorites. Also, if you can mimic his style of low-quality work, then you'll do well. If you branch out or have a style of your own, good luck. I do NOT recommend him. I changed majors because of him.

Mark can be a bit twitty [for instance, he *never* grades assignments on time], but you can't help but forgive him for it. All in all, he's a likable, helpful, enthusiastic guy. And [unrelated to his academic merit, of course] he's got gorgeous eyes. :)
