Taylor is a great teacher. Class is not boring. Only two tests and a few short papers. Daily readings are pretty light. You don't have to do much work in or out of class. However, he is a pretty tough grader.

Dr. Taylor commands a certain amount of respect just because he is so intelligent and loves what he teaches. He is one of the nicest members of the faculty. Some people might think his method is outdated, but it's the best way to learn close reading of Shakespeare's plays. Ask him to explain what the ghost means by "remember me" in HAMLET. :)

i am a nuclear medicine major and i took his shakespeare as an elective. i did bad in the class, but i loved his teaching. he is the perfect professor to teach this class. he is amazing. he has such an aura of class and granduer about him that makes him the quintessential english professor. he is def. one of the best professors at manhattan
