He's innovative, understanding, funny, and cares about his students. If you need any form of help, class related or otherwise, he's always ready to listen and do what he can for you. He gives great critiques and suggestions without being overbearing or judgmental. A really positive professor for those just beginning painting as well older students

First day of class he explains how he grades. If you show improvement through out your drawings and keep a daily sketchbook, which is required, you will pass with a good grade. It helps to have a decent understanding of composition and drawing, especially with charcoal. Would highly recommend him! Will be taking more of his classes.

He is quite rude when it comes to critiquing work, and not in a constructive way. He looks down upon art that is not painting, and is quite biased in terms of what he likes. He gets very "friendly" with the model, and some of his students too.

I took his class from basic drawing and did well. He is funny and personal, he tells you how it is. Sometimes its difficult because he disappears, and it becomes repetitive. I took him for painting I, as well and he gave me a B... I guess he expected more from me in the second semester. I enjoyed the painters he would share. truly learned a lot

Really great teacher! Super hilarious! Sometimes I did feel like he was hitting on me but most of the time he was just critquing my art in a positive way. He will always try to push you to the best of you abilities. I absolutely adore him though and I'm taking him again for PaintingI and DrawingI. If he believes you have talent he will help you.<3

Great guy personality wise. Funny, extroverted, nice, and intelligent. However, I found that he was barely there when the class was, and offered little to no input for students. On the other hand, I found out that I progressed without input from him. Interesting class. A little repetitious though after a while.

I took him for Basic Drawing and Painting I. He is so awesome! He is really helpful in showing you what needs to be fixed in your work or what you have done well. I recommend him for probably any class if you get the chance. He is really down to earth and has a sense of humor. Fun classes!

I watched Web inspire and nurture students (myself included) like no other professor I've ever seen. We worked through the smoke breaks! We wanted to make him proud of us, and I still strive for that. Go on a trip with him if you can!!! It will show in your work every time... Look past the lascivious banter to find the mentor and friend...I did.

This class was easy but very fun. He pretty much lets you loose and tells you to paint but when you are having troubles he is right there to help. the entire class grew enormously in one semester with very different approaches. he teaches you how to be a good painter without taking away your uniqueness. I Highly Suggest taking this class.
