This class was super easy. He knows what he's talking about and lectures it very well, going off topic in a tasteful manor only to bring it right back into the lecture. There wasn't much work. A few readings, a midterm, a final (take home), a 6-10 page paper you have all semester to write, and a presentation based off of the paper. It was a easy A!

Comment:

Lots of focus on religion and architecture rather than paintings, which I enjoyed. He is very passionate and extremely knowledgeable about what he teaches and it definitely shows. 2 tests with the final being a take home (it wasn't easy though!), 1 paper and a painless powerpoint presentation based on your paper. I recommend him to anybody!

I never met a professor as knowledgeable as him. But because he knows so much the class can go off topic but if you are into it you'll love it. You can tell he loves what he teaches. He is woke & super easy-going & it reflects in the class & the little work he does give. Mandatory presentation but dont fret he just wants to learn from his students.

Professor Williamson is such a wonderful instructor. The class is quite lecture heavy so if you tend to fall asleep during history lectures, then opt for something else. But it is definitely an easy going class where you don't feel any pressure. Aside from that you really do learn SO much. I would definitely recommend him to anyone interested.

I fall asleep during every lecutre... classic projector slideshows aren't the most exciting at 3:30 in the afternoon. Interesting man, very intelligent. Two test all year, one midterm which had not much to do with what we were learning however he did give us a study guide which was basically the test. The final was take home and easy.

Very interesting professor. Attend class, take notes on slides. Three 3 page papers, easy grader. Tells you in advance what is on the test, test is all memorization. Highly recommend this professor if you need a writing class.

Really cool guy. He talks and you listen (take notes, they help for the 2 tests). 3 moderately easy, 1000 word papers. Very generous when grading. Lectures can get boring sometimes (dimmed lights make it kind of hard to stay awake at times) but if you're interested in the subject, you should have no problem.

lovelovelove this class. so easy, just show up, look at slides, you dont even really need to take notes at all. 3 papers throughout the class, gives you like 3 weeks per paper and you use size 14 font. the last paper is due whenever you feel like handing it in. such an easy class, midterm/final are a little difficult only if you dont study. TAKE IT

Comment:

History of Western Art was one of the easiest classes I've had. As long as you take notes on dates and the mediums of the art, you don't need the textbook, as the slide recognition tests are very easy, and he gives huge leeway on due dates. Stay awake, do the essays (he's very helpful if you need it!) and you'll get a good grade with no trouble!
