Kye is the best teacher I have ever had in my life. He is understanding, kind, and treats his students like actual people. He is hilarious. Kye makes you want to show up to class and learn. He grades fair and you know exactly what is expected of you. All assignments are clearly laid out. You will not be disappointed.

I switched into Kye's class 2nd semester. He is amazing, he spends real time making sure we know the material while not pushing us to a point where we hate the class like the rest of Pratt. He doesn't take attendance, but you want to be there in the morning for critiques, cause they are the best part of the day. Love Kye, such a great guy and prof!

Kye is not only the best teacher I've had at Pratt so far, he's probably the best teacher I've had in my life. He's passionate about the subject, really funny, easygoing and great at teaching. You can tell he enjoys teaching the class. His assignments are fun and he allows you to really get creative and push the limits of the project. Fair grader.

Kye is a nice guy, which is both a good thing and a bad thing. It's a good thing because he is approachable, personable, and fair. It's a bad thing because he doesn't force you to excel, accepts mediocre work, and gives his students a bunch of helpful "hints" that make the work a little too easy.

Kye is really smart and lives and breathes color. We are learning so much about color and about processes and ways to put ideas together. He gives solid feedback without making it personal and that is very helpful! He is very encouraging and supportive. He balances cool and laid back with still being the professor and the authority. a great teacher, but if you don't draw as well or try as hard you won't do as well. Don't remember anyone failing though. He talked all during class and was very entertaining. Class was relaxed and if you got him distracted w/ cooking or politics you wouldn't need to work as much. Really nice guy.
