She does not really follow syllabus- she starts dropping requirements. However, she doesn't give much feedback, so it's hard to know what exactly she wants for future essays. However, I loved the fact that we went over reading assignments in class because I actually understood and enjoyed British Lit in this class unlike I have ever in high schoool

Dr. M is nice but she didn't take the time to get to know students and had no idea what most of our names were. She didn't follow the syllabus (which was somewhat understandable because of the weather) but at the same time it was hard to know what we had to do. There were a few papers with re-writes and nightly reading. Not sure if I'd take again.

Pretty good teacher, fairly comprehensive and straightforward course. Grade is based on 3-4 essays throughout the semester and class participation. Professor is pretty helpful and understanding, but the biggest problem with my class was how few students actually did any reading & could contribute to discussions.

Dr M is great At first she might scare you and you might think shes nuts, but she is a great professor This class is very easy Sometimes heavy reading for HW but every class she reads and discusses it with you All essays are open book and she demands you use quotes One recitation and one oral presentation Very easy grader and prompt email responses

Love her! She's just amazing. She goes over each and every single book you have to read for the class, and every essay you do is in-class, which can be a pain but she's an easy grader so it's not too bad. I would suggest reading the books mainly because you need quotes in your essays, but none of them are long. Take this class!

Prof. McKinley is one of the nicest teachers I have ever encountered. She is really helpful, goes over the books in great detail, and there is only one take home essay! About once a week you have an in class essay, and you can leave when your finished. You'll never feel under prepared.

had Sp 2011; fairly easy, though the essays can't be B.S.ed - she will call you on it, she may seem like she's missing a few cogs, but she's pretty sharp and very competent and familiar with the material. Reading the stories isn't necessary if you take decent notes. Notations in your book while reading will also be hugely beneficial.

I think she is definitely very educated in the material she is teaching, which is always a plus. I like the fact that she goes through every story we read from start to finish during class, just in case you didn't understand something. Mostly In class essays and about one take home essays which have easy subjects.

She's an amazing professor. She knows the subject and the history of the era in which it was written. I had her for ENG 103 then I took her the following semester for 213. She's a very fair grader and very willing to help. She's a great person. She only gives in-class essays and maybe one at-home essay. Her midtrem and final are in-class essays.

McKinley is great. She is such a nice woman. Usually at least 5 minutes late every day, and let us go early several times in the semester (when people didn't read the material she assigned haha). She wants everyone to do well; and if you talk to her, she will do what she can to help you out. She is one of my favorite profs at Suffolk. Recommend!!

She's a little strange to say the least, but overall she's a very nice and helpful lady. She comes 5-10 minutes late to class every day, and usually lets you out early. She's very kind, lenient and will let you make things up as well as do extra credit. A little boring, but very passionate about what she does.

She came to class 10 minutes late and let us go about 15 minutes early everyday. She is a very nice woman and really enjoys what she's teaching. She was a pretty easy grader for the most part. I would take another class from here.

oh where to start, Ms. Mckinley is def a little out there but she is a very nice lady. She averaged being 10 mins late everyday to a 50 min class, and would let us randomly go on days when the room was too hot or it was nice out....overall pretty easy class, only one real essay the other 2 are in-class ones.

I took a seminar with her and she's very focused on her subject. You will learn, but she expects a lot from students!
