He has a very organized lecture. It is clear he has been doing this a long time. His midterm was much harder than the final. Read the cases, do your briefs, and go to class. It isn't rocket science but lots of people got tripped up by his class. Great professor though. Take hime for Advanced Torts too!

Excellent instruction by a man who was in the room when a lot of the assigned cases were decided. Read the cases and do your own briefs, and you'll be fine. Don't talk in class just to hear yourself talk. You'll be exposed for the weakling 1L you are. The Dobbs book is optional. You will be tested on TN law.

Great Professor. Doesn't really teach from the book. His lectures are what you want to pay attention to. Take notes, he will put the subjects/topics on a projector. Those are what you want to focus on. Doesn't cold call and will let you know if your going to brief prior to class starting. The book was useless.

Marshall Davidson is my favorite teacher because he is so organized and teaches you exactly what he wants you to know without reading millions of cases on how we got to the applicable law. It makes it so much easier to understand and Advanced Torts is just as good!

Davidson really knows his stuff. The book proved usless, untill the 2 nights out of the whole year, he did not give class. He presents the material in a clear and organized manner. But still study...it is alot of material to remember.

Nice guy. Hard tests. Teaches in a clear, slightly boring manner. Don't bother to read the textbook or buy an outside help. Everything you need is in the notes. Ask around for the 2nd semester notes and you can just read along.

Excellent Instructor! He is clear and concise in his teaching. He uses slides with the pertinent material for each class. Torts is a hard class but if you study the briefs and take good notes you will do well. There are no surprises on the material that we need to learn. He is a very thorough teacher.

Davidson is the best 1st year teacher at NSL. He is very serious about the subject and expects your best at all times. He has a very dry sense of humor, but is funny in his own right. The only time I have seen him irritated is when he was asked a question off point. He is very no nonsense, but I appreciate his professionalism.Great teacher!

Comment:
Davidson exemplifies every bad law school cliche ever. His supposed use of the Socratic method is really just an excuse to abuse and haze 1Ls. His delivery is not only boring but also so scripted that you can - literally! - read along word for word from the previous year's verbs. Actively discourages questions and uses them as a chance to insult.
