I think she's a great professor, almost perfect. She made lectures so easy to understand and the weekly quizzes helped me so much before the actual exams, there are 4 in total. Her grading system is fair and easy to pass. I recommend taking her. Chem 2 is still hard so don't slack off, don't expect to just show up in class and get A

She has a very forgiving curve but she expects a lot from students--regardless of whether they understand the material or not.

Comment:
The class is very challenging and she does not make it easy to get a good grade in the course. I currently have a C+ and I visit her office hours constantly AND have chegg. She spends most of the class deriving equations and in office hours she can get upset at a student's lack of understanding and questions.

Comment:
Dr. Bruch is relatively intimidating. I often find myself too scared to ask questions in class due to her judging my question as that is what she would do. Ive seen her laugh at students, casually mock their questions, and even yell at a student. She also spends a good portion of time just deriving formulas without saying she is. Beware.

Oh god, shes awful. Shes very passive aggressive- in class and in office hours. She does not know how to help students despite constantly reminding them to see her help if they need it. She expects you to know the material because it is easy, whats not to get. Also she is EXTREMELY monotone so be prepared to fall asleep in class.

Professor Bruch is a great professor, she keeps the classes interesting which i love because i did not like it in high school. She has a huge curve so like a 74% is a B which is awesome! I highly recommend taking this class with her

Comment:
Martha Bruch is a good teacher. She is very clear in her lectures and makes chemistry easy to understand by use of analogy and proper explanation. She can be a bit dry in her humor, but that doesnt change the fact that she does what most teachers should do: clearly teach her subject and be accessible when students need help.

Dr. Bruch is one of the best professors I had at Oswego. She explains the difficult concepts involved in physical chemistry incredibly well and makes it very clear what will be on exams. She grades things quickly so you know exactly how you're doing and is always available for extra help. 100% recommended for all course levels.

I took her 101 class online and it's SO easy. Very straight forward material. The quizzes and tests are nerve-racking because they're timed but you'll have plenty to finish. Definitely recommend her class. I didn't buy the textbook and got an A.

SUPER helpful. Review sessions every week to help prepare you for quizes and tests. Homework helps you be prepared for upcoming quiz. Not a chem person but she makes it easier to understand. Had her for both chem 111 and 212.

Amazing professor , get frustrated when you ask too many questions in class its best you ask after the lecture. She will give sooooooo many opportunities to succeed you just have to give it some effort. This is the best chem professor on campus , specially if you are a slow learner .

Don't miss a class or you'll fall behind. Her grading is really harsh but it's warranted. Above an 80 is an A, then she goes from there. Exams are very difficult but if you review your homework/quizzes then you should have little problem with them. Grade is based off 2 exams, 6 homeworks, 4 quizzes and like 6 mini-quizzes that equal a quiz

The absolute best professor I've ever had. I took her for Gen and Physical Chem. No matter what your knowledge level is going into any of her classes, she'll teach you how to do everything. She sometimes gets upset when you ask questions in class but makes her self highly approachable online. Take your chem classes with her by all means.
