Missing class means missing that day's quiz and probably info for the next quiz. Plenty of quizzes so review daily. Ideal teacher to make you get back on your grind. Studying should be a daily habit anyways. Involve yourself in class. Caring. Don't give her a hard time Lots of packets, articles/readings.

Great professor but gives 3 or more quizzes every class which was a little rough in the beginning during a summer 7 week course but once you see what her quizzes are about youll get a good adjustment to it must study !!!! She makes sure you know all about psychology when shes done with you

OK so 1st you see that her ratings are great from most people if not all. 2nd she is really great not that hard just take NOTES and make sure you study. I had her this summer for 7 wks. Had 2 or 3 quizzes everyday.. wasn't hard. Always have bonus questions on quizzes for extra points. You do not need a textbook. I'm telling you take her now

Professor Chavis is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. You dont need the book because she gives you notes and handouts to study from for the quizzes and tests. Every class we had at least 1 quiz. Having a quiz every class really helped with keeping yourself on track with the material. I highly recommend her class,youll learn a lot

I enjoyed taking a class with Professor Chavis! She is very knowlegable on the subject. We did not even need a textbook for the course, as she provided us with notes. Every class we have at least 1 quiz, and sometimes we have upwards to 3 quizzes in one night. When she gives you notes /packets to read, take the time out and read it/study it!!!

Top Notch!!! Professor Chavis is hands down the best professor around. Not to say that the class was easy, but why should it be?! I would take any class that she has to offer... Even though psychology is not my major. Just to learn from the best of the best. Take her... You will not regret it!! TOP OF THE LINE!!!

I have taken Prof. Chavis for Psy 101 and Abnormal Psy, she is amazing. I really do wish there were more professors like her. She does give a quiz or 2 every class but it's always on the previous lecture or reading material. Because of this, you do not get overloaded with material. BEWARE SHE MAY CAUSE YOU TO CHANGE YOUR MAJOR TO PSY.

Hands down one of if not the best teacher at CCP (Main). Ms Chavis's lectures are straight forward. Her teaching styles are very engaging, intresting, entertaining & clear. She makes you feel comfortable in her class. Quiz (s) every class 5?s + 1xtra cred previous lecture. Extra credit on every quiz. Pay attention take notes TAKE HER NOW.

Ms. Chavis is a wonderful professor who shows a great passion for psychology. the lecture may be a little heavy but Ms. Chavis breaks it down so that it is clearly understood. she is by far the best professor I have had. I know she teaches developmental psychology and I will not be taking it until I see that she will be the instructor.

She is funny, very knowledgeable, and has a passion for her students success. Though the course load can be heavy she breaks everything down so that you can understand. There is quizzes every class but they are averaged into your overall grade. She is one of the best professors I ever had and I highly recommend her for any psychology class.

I took Professor Chavis summer one and I think she is a AWESOME professor. She really knows her stuff. The class isnt boring at all. She's very intelligent and humorous. You'll never fall asleep in her class. I had atleast 3 quizzes EVERY Class as long as you STUDY your NOTES you'll pass.

Professor Chavis class was very informative, learned a lot, and knows her field with expertise. Quizzes every class so be prepared, study is a must and you will pass. I overall enjoyed this class, and looked forward to her lectures.

She is very knowledgeable and fair; stands by her words. As others have mentioned, quizzes every class, and exams are based on quizzes. If you are a slacker, do not like to come to class, do not like to take notes, or cannot spare an hour a day studying, then DO NOT REGISTER FOR HER CLASS. Very easy class, but some students still failed her exams!
