She is passionate and knowledgeable about organic 1. The powerpoints help to some extent. Make sure you can do at least some of the homework questions without looking them up online. Hw is tedious, lab reports are long, but overall, they help with understanding the material. No lab practicals, so this helps a lot. She's my favorite chem prof.

Besides the textbook, Ms. Gilchrist is my most favorite chemistry teacher. Her class is the only one that I do not have read textbook and can still do the problems as long as I attend the lectures, pay attention, take notes, and ASK QUESTIONS. She always make sure there is no concern left unanswered even when she runs out of time.

O-Chem 2 Spring 2017 LECTURE: not that helpful, but beware of pop-quizzes HOMEWORK: very long assignments. IMO the solutions manual is a must for finishing the homework. Practice is key! TESTS: easy, if you memorize the homework problems. She takes many straight from the homework OVERALL: O-Chem is not an easy class, but I highly recommend.

She is an amazing teacher. Ochem II is hard,you have to put in the work. Test questions come from the HMWK she assigns. Do those problems over & over YOU WILL see them on the Exam. No exams in lab. 4 exams and the final replaces your lowest. You will get the grade you want if you STUDY. On my way to that hard earned A. Straight forward teacher.

Ms. Gilchrist is an amazing teacher! Very helpful. I took her spring '15 and made a B. If you go to class everyday and do the homework and do well in lab, you will do will in class. She is also lenient so if you miss class the day homework is due, she usually accepts it. The class itself is tough but she makes it seem easy. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER!

Professor Gilchrist is an awesome professor. There is a quiz at the beginning of almost every class, but not hard at all, she is just making sure your learning. If you have any questions she does not hesitate to clarify for everybody. Go to class and lab and you will pass as long as you are studying. Online homework is kind of annoying though.

Martha Gilchrist was an awesome professor. I was incredibly nervous about taking chemistry but she was very thorough, explained everything in detail and more than once if needed, was always available to help and she is VERY knowledgeable in her field. Great teacher. I would take again!

Awesome teacher. Took her for Summer I session and loved it. She give you every opportunity to ask questions if you're unsure, and will help if you don't understand things. Would recommend her to anyone. I'm not a chemistry fan, but enjoyed this class.

Mrs. Gilchrist is super sweet and will help you extensively outside class if you ask. This is not an easy subject, it will all depend on your effort and innate abilities. having spacial reasoning and conceptual understanding will help greatly. if you function like this then it shouldn't be too hard. I highly recommend her over any UTA professor.

While she seems to be a VERY sweet lady outside of class, she is not a fantastic teacher. She is extremely disorganized and will spend an entire class period talking about one simple concept. She will assign ridiculous amounts of HW that have problems that were not discussed in class. I made an A pretty easy, but the material was not new to me

Extremely disorganized.Exams went over 2hrs to complete. She never posted grades on time including the final. It took her 2 weeks after our final to have all our grades posted in detail. Students corrected her in class. HW was all the problems at the end of each chapter that took several days and over 4hrs a day to complete.

Mrs. Gilchrist is an awesome teacher. She knows chemistry through and through. She did such a great job at making everyone understand and utilized class time very well. She made a really tough class manageable. If you work hard you will make an A. I did. It's interesting too!

She is nice, but her lectures are very slow. The homework takes hours a day, and she gives a quiz everyday. They are 5% of your grade, but they will lower your grade! Her lecture test are easy, but the class was frustrating during lecture! She will start all over if one person has a question! Lab will effect your grab... be warned. Glad I'm done!

Mrs.Gilchrist is a good teacher! She really tries to explain things and make sure everyone understands. Her expectations of you are made very clear. She gives you a review sheet for each test, so you know which things to study the most. Online homework every week counts as a easy 100 for hmwork participation. Easy lab grade. I would take her again.

I love Prof Gilchrist!! She's a wonderful teacher. There's homework, and it's not all easy, but she makes it better by being very clear with explaining and excited in what she's doing. Don't pass her up, she's great!!

Professor Gilchrist is a good teacher. She is very helpful when you have a question, and never makes you feel stupid. She explains things very well. She really knows what she is talking about. Her class is not all that interesting, but she is a very sweet professor.

i like her alot! she is very sweet and quite. her class is pretty easy to be a science. and her tests are very easy like kindergarden easy. just read and go to class. she seems to be very lenient on her grading. i would take her for every science. and lab is CAKE!!!TAKE HER FOR AN EASY A AND SOME STUDY
