She basically explains the textbook in simpler terms and she lectures the whole class. She goes over the material that you have questions about at the beginning of class. Her tests are mostly T/F and MC. Overall, good professor. Take notes and study them and you should be fine!

You really don't need to go to class b/c the textbook has everything you need to know, but the book is pretty dense in info compared to her lectures so you'll have to invest a lot more time. Her tests are 80% T/F and 20% MC. Since there are so many T/F questions you never really know how well you've done until you get the grade. She also curves.

She'll explain the entire construct of the US healthcare system and you definitely won't forget it as she'll constantly repeat the same points over and over again. Nonetheless she's the best. Her exams are easy apart from some of the MCQ, but she does give back points if she sees a lot of people got it wrong.

She bases all her lectures off of the textbook, but puts it into simpler terms. Her lectures are very simple and straight forward, but you need to go to class and write down everything she says to have any kind of notes. Her exams are very simple also if you went to class and took notes. She's kind of boring so paying attention gets tough.

Dr. Mackey is a very well educated professor. You will learn a few thing about the health care field. As an elective she makes the class very easy. All you have to do is take notes and review them before the exam. About 40 questions. 35 T/F and 5 MC. Very easy...common sense. Study an hour or 2 and you will be fine. Make sure you go to class.

i got an A after getting C in midterm. it is hard to believe that ppl who did similar to me in final got lower grade than me overall. thus i think mackey curves in a strange way where someone who raised its grade more from midterm to final receives greater curve. still, everyone in the class gets B+ or higher due to the big curve she gives

Very good! Try even a little bit and you will be fine. Tests can be tricky because mostly M/C questions but if you studied for a couple of hours then you will be fine. Lectures can be boring but you really should try to go because a lot of test questions are from lecture.
