super easy class, you have to write five papers total and you have your final project. if you dont read and dont do the work theres no way youll pass. shes super helpful, so go into her office during hours by appointment. the class can be kind of boring but it really helps your writing. there is no better professor for a literature class.

My favorite class this semester! I could tell Martha is genuinely interested in students' learning and she was such a joy to have. Because of this class I decided I want to forsure minor in Literature now. She lets you redo any essays and always takes the time to give a lot of feedback on them. No tests and coursework was really interesting!

Dr. Stoddard-Holmes is one of the most passionate, approachable, and sweetest professors I have had so far. She not only cares about the material she is teaching but about her students as well. This course was interesting, fun, and an easy A. You must try to take one of her classes if you're at CSUSM!

Dr. Martha is amazing, my favorite teacher by far. She allows you lots of flexibility in your choice of essays and gives lots of very helpful guidance. The final took me about 20 minutes, but you must actually read and review for it. She brought candy to class and we watched some film clips, she is challenging but fun!

Compared to 308A, this class was a breath of fresh air. Dr. Stoddard-Holmes is extremely enthusiastic about the material. She helped me develop skills in reading poetry that I was lacking. Very accessible and responsive. Always willing to help. I wish she tought more courses.

Very enthusiastic about the subject. she wants you to interpret the material her way so listen well and your exam essays will be easier. Come to class because the quizzes are a bi part of your grade. Very nice woman. I liked 308A more (but that's just me)!

Very boring because she wanted to shove her interpretations down your throat. Very enthusiastic but over the top at times. I loved 308A; I hated 308B. Better teaching would have kept my interest. She is very nice and does want you to understand. Be sure to attend every class and take notes.

Very enthusiastic and a great teacher. I cant say i was very interested in British literature when i signed up, but she is so enthusiastic and happy to be teaching that it makes the subject interesting. I highly recommended her.

Lit and Health was really easy with her. She is super nice and you only have to write 4 two page papers all semester and you have like 20 possibilities. Lecture is pretty boring but if you show up every day and participate in the discussions you;ll be fine

This woman is AMAZING! I love her, take a class with her, you won't regret it. She comes into class with a constant smile on her face and seems like she wants to get up and dance to express how happy she is to be teaching english lit! She teaches as if everyone shares the same enthusiasm she does, and before long it does become contagious.....
