She's into psyching people out;nice one day but nasty the next. She "games" people into liking her by acting impossible to please. Since there's an impression in the air that she doesn't like anyone, everyone tries to please her and court her approval. Ok as a teacher, even maybe more interesting than average but unhelpful and an unfair grader.

Very educated and brilliant women. I enjoyed taking her class. However, her assignments are extremely difficult. She challenges you to think and analyze. She is a hard grader. Enjoyed the class, but not doing the assignments.

She's a really good professor and will challenge you on a lot of things in discussion; this is really gets you to think. However, she comes off as being very condescending sometimes, and that just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If you can handle a professor like this and are interested in women's studies, by all means, take her class.

She's not easy,she's not really personable,but she's a pretty good teacher.Since graduating recently, I came to this balanced view.I think she "tests" students by putting up a stern demeanor.If you can handle it, you earn her respect.I developed a crush on her, even though we had a sorta adversarial working relation (and I'm straight).

Walker is awesome! I had her for French my freshman year and I actually understood the language. Then the profs got switched, and it was horrible. I also have her for women's studies and she makes it lots of fun. I would recommend her class to anyone.
