Braun takes multiple points off for small errors in your test answers and will even mark an entire question wrong, taking your test grade 20-25 points down. His exams are 4-5 equations to solve and that's it. The 2nd one is offered right before the final. Make sure you practice the problems before exams.

This class is not easy. Open book exams are generally not easy, unless you have copies of all his old exams, which is good, and the solution sheets. Otherwise, you are screwed. I wouldn't take this guy

This class was a joke, open laptop, phone and textbook. You are allowed to use Mathematica or any other math application on your tests. The tests are straight out of the class notes with different numbers, It's hard not to do well. Every time you think this class can't get easier, it does.

In class "open notes" exams are not easy. In regards to contacting Braun, it is very difficult, as his "FYI minions" are always guarding his office. Literally. His "Professor" joke was amazing. I highly recommend coming to class to hear that one. Right?

He doesn't cover a lot of material in this class (about two chapters of his own book.) For the most part, the appeal of taking this class with this guy is that it's extremely easy if you show up and have a remote understanding of what's going on. The tests are open book, a bit difficult, and short. There isn't much room to mess up, so don't.

Prof. Braun is really cool, many may not like the way he teaches the class as he always likes a "right". I like a serious instructor who's down to do some math, but Braun is an exception. He's a really awesome guy, would take again. Shame he doesn't teach MATH 328. Exams are very straightforward. Read your notes.

Good professor, but I don't really feel like I learned that much about differential equations. Open booknotes exams are fair. To prepare, go over your notes and the assigned hw problems. Not very accessible in office hours due to various involvements on campus, so beware of this. Very lenient grader, which is a plus.

MAN. he tells the funniest stories ever. He and Kramer should do stand up comedy HAHA. Otherwise, his pace is pretty steady, I only come to class when he reviews the homework since I think he explains the homework answers really nicely. Otherwise, an okay professor. HE ALWAYS WANTS A RIGHT!!! (you'll understand once you take him)

For the entire semester we played a game where everyone was a different political figure in the constitution. You had factions (groups) that you were a part of. All we did was play this game and that's what you were graded on. The last two weeks we did some math, and that was it! Easiest and most random class I've taken so far

Professor Braun is awesome!! He is great at teaching the class as he knows how to keep the stuff interesting and he's very funny as well. Super nice guy and he'll make sure you do well in the class. If only there were more professors like Braun! Highly recommended!

He tells you, "Everyone gets an A" and he means it. As long as you can handle a presentation, the A is basically handed to you. You do one month of "math", he doesn't check the homework. Majority of the semester is the 'business' group work for your final presentation. Steve and Janna co-teach this class, they're awesome as well. Take this class!

He is the best teacher ever!!! He is really funny and his tests are really easy. It's all OPEN book and notes and the tests are made up as if they weren't!!! It really can't get better then that! He really cares about his students and wants them to do well! I strongly suggest him!

This prof is great. He is very entertaining during class and he helps make the very difficult topics of M152 more understandable. Attending class is important or you will be lost. Topics are difficult but he explains well, ask questions, he's always willing to explain something over again. Goes over all homework and available for office hours.
