Dr. Cohen is one of my favorite anthro professors I've had so far. He's really passionate about anthropology, is friendly, and willing to talk to you outside of class. He tells good stories that go along with his lectures.

All 3 textbooks are mandatory to read in order to pass the class. His lectures were a little confusing, but try your best to follow because he covers exam topics. Use past exams to study for future exams, especially the final. It helps. Paper wasn't difficult and he gives you a chance to revise and improve your grade.

Nice guy, knows his stuff, and is passionate. Lectures are great, since he covers most of the stuff that's on the test. He does give out study guides, but just those won't help you pass (he'll say this at the beginning of the course). Read the book, read the lecture notes, and read your notes that you took in class. Relatively easy course.

Women's studies was an interesting class and I recommend taking it with this professor. The tests are not hard if you study and read the book. Take home and in class quizzes. The class is slow paced and very interesting, I enjoyed the videos and documentaries, he's also very passionate about Anthropology and wants his students to succeed

he was my first professor ever! i didn't really know how to adapt to a college class, and i did fail most of his test. i believe the only test i passed was with a D even with the curve. however, i never skipped class, did the homework, and went to his office hours to speak to him about my troubles. i ended up passing with a C :)

Dr Cohen is not a bad teacher. His lectures can be long and boring. But he posts his slides on moodle. As long as you read the book and study his slides you will pass. He can be hard on his students because there are a lot of freshman not used to college. This class has a lot of course material. So do not fall behind.

Wonderful Professor. He Is deeply passionate about the subject and a complete professional. If you like the subject you will probably enjoy his class. His tests are hard but he grades on a curve and offers some extra credit.

Professor Cohen is a bro. He knows his stuff, but understands that most of his students will never use any of it again. He tries hard to make lectures interesting. He's very chill and a lax grader. Attendance is encouraged, although you can skip a lot of class if you have a personal rapport with him. One of the best classes I've taken in college.

Dr Cohen definitely knows his stuff. His lectures are pretty boring but if you listen and take notes then you should be good for the exams. He gives homework assignments but they are not very difficult. The homework was usually multiple choice "quizzes". Easy points! However if you miss more than 3 days, he starts deducting points. I recommend!

He's such a cute little old man. Even though I didn't go to class that often because his lectures were awfully boring, he tried to be funny and make the class interesting! Not enough for me to want to go though. I thankfully passed with a C. Only 10 assignments, three tests and he drops the lowest one! Easy stuff, if i tried i would've got the A

Overall I really liked this class. Pretty straight forward there are lectures and 3 tests + a final. One get's dropped. Ten homework assignments. Nothing too trying. You just need to read and understand the concepts being presented.

His lectures can get kind of boring, although the subject matter itself is more to blame for that than him; he's a patient and professional lecturer and seems like an all-around good man.

He's on okay guy. Lectures are eh, homework is simple. He's always fair and straight foward. Despite the class being a bit boring, study the powerpoints & you'll be good. actually doesn't go over tests, but gaves us all the answers & test copies to help us study for the final. It was an okay class. He's definitely a smart & knowledgeable professor.

This class was an easy A. Everything is lecture based but I only used the book to answer homework which had only 10 questions. Took attendance every day by passing out a sign in sheet. I didn't show up about 5 times but he puts all the lectures online and I got high Bs every test and we had about 3 + the final. Boring class, but still an easy A.

this guy was great! we had to do A LOT of reading and his powerpoints came directly from the book so if u take notes i guess u don't have to do all of that reading. He was late to class every single day, though but it was ok. I still got an A

I honestly didnt learn anything from his lectures because they didnt interest me and I found it boring. So instead I read the book and taught myself. Workbook assignments due once a week and one midterm and one final. He gives a study guide which is very helpful! Final is culminative. Hes a very very nice guy.

This teacher is not good at helping students. He does not respond to questions in class and is not helpful at answering them period. He doesnt ever go over the homework and his tests are hard. Unless Anthropology is extremly interesting to you I recommend not taking this class.

This has to be one of the most laziest professors I've ever come across. First, he's very selective in responding to emails. Second, it's very difficult to find out what grade you're grade is in class. Third, we spends a large amount of time ranting about politics and using the class as a platform about his opinions on the educational system

Not too bad of a class. I don't recommend it if you want to have an interactive class, but the teacher himself is actually pretty interesting if you like listening. He knows the subject well. The class is largely lecture based directly off the book, so read and you'll get it. He's got some dry humor but he's got some fascinating stories.

Honestly, unless you are EXTREMELY interested in this sort of Anthropology, he is very very boring. BUT, he is a very nice guy, and pretty easy if you are okay with a C. He gives some extra credit, and the study guides are exactly what the quizzes are on. Not bad.
