This class was an easy A the essay assignments were clear and he gives a handout about how to write it before it's due he was never rude to me but there were some awkward moments when someone would ask him a simple question and he snapped especially if it's about a paper being handed in late hand in your assignments on time and don't ask him

This guy is one of the most boring teacher ever! All he does is has the students read out loud a section from the textbook & then he just talks about the history of whatever it was that we read, his essay were easy. Normally you get out early unless you ask a question, if so be prepare for a long answer even if it was for a yes or no question.

I had a love for writing and English until I joined his class. He is extremely rude and has no respect for his students. The class is always laughing at him, while he thinks we are laughing with him. I haven't gone to his class numerous times because I can't deal with him. Drop it while you can.

Fertig is quite simply the most rude person I have ever met. He barely teaches and then belittles students when they actually have a question. I can't believe I pay for his class. I wish I had a respectful and qualified professor for ENG102, but like the rest of his students, got stuck with him...

If you want to have an interesting English class, do not take me. He just makes you read out loud from the book everyday, and makes people feel very uncomforatable about it. The topics for the essay are in the book, and if he doesn't like one, he won't let you write about it. Very horrible teacher and horrible teaching style.

Pretty boring and almost a pointless class. Yes you do read aloud and that's about it. Class can sometimes be done in 15 minutes. You learn really simple stuff and the only homework was short papers. He's a little crazy. DON'T EVER WEAR A HAT IN CLASS. He rambles about random stuff and half the time no one knows what he's even talking about.

Didn't really teach English comp.... we just read stories outloud in class. I took it over the summer and my papers were only 2 pages long reflecting short stories we read aloud in class. I didn't really learn much in this class, but I got the grade that I needed. He was super boring!! DON'T BE LATE.
