Martin is an amazing teacher. He prepares his lectures so well and the outcome is that you are moved and captivated by his ideas and insights. One of the best lecturers I have ever had the pleasure of listening to. The assignments put you into the world of composing for film.

ah, the dude is awesome. extremely good educator. knows his stuff but more importantly, knows how to break it down and think like a student. all materials relevant. very good in person/tutorials. fun, interested and easy to learn from. really loved him!!!

Martin is really good professor-- and he teaches FPA 289 with a passion for film music. I was really interested in the beginning, but I found myself sleeping in each lecture. I had a morning tutorial the same day. Too bad I missed a lot of lectures, but I still ended up with great grade. A good prof, easy marker!

If you ever have an opportunity to take a class with Martin, take it! He is so enthusiastic, open and gentle- it feels much more like a conversation than a lecture. He's also brilliant.
