Comment:

It was a very interesting course! It is definitely possible to achieve a good grade, if you are willing to take an extra step in researching to participate every week in discussion (which makes a big chunk of your mark and he gives you feedback). He is a very fair marker on essay + bonus marks on proposal. Lastly Dr. Zack is very knowledgeable!

Comment:

The man needs to stop using caps lock in all of his emails and replies to the discussion board. He's pretty good with giving feedback on time in my opinion. Lots of reading and the discussion boards suck. No midterm, but the paper for the course is long and tedious.

Comment:

Solid professor, online course means discussion posts every week. I have the textbook but have yet to open it, as the concepts are thoroughly explained in the course modules. Really important to keep up on the modules and discussions. Grades fairly easy on discussions, but there is one large paper and a final. Interesting course!

I took this course in the spring and loved it. I received an A but had to work hard for it. You have to attend every single class as his tests are heavily focused on his lectures. He is very knowledgable about the content. Both the midterm and final were all multiple choice.

Overall this class was pretty easy. But I found this professor very rude, I literally sent six emails before recieveing a response. A response that was impersonal, imcompassionate and simply rude. Additionally his lectures were very dull, it takes the prof a long time to make his point. Constantly going in circles.

It was a good experience having Dr. Zack as a professor. His classes were infused with his deep knowledge of the subject and through his understanding I left the course enriched. He really cares about students learning and is passionate for the subject. He is very fair when it comes to dealing with students and his test questions are funny.

I received an A+ in the spring session and thought this course was amazing. But be prepared to WORK and THINK. If you are a procrastinator and hate weekly deadlines, don't take this course online. The prof is incredibly knowledgeable. He sees through BS and will call you on it. I loved this class but it was hard.

I received an A+ in this class.With that said, if you are not inclined to scientific research, drop this class! Too many weekly assignments! He gives no hints on what to focus on for final exam, so you have to study everything from the entire course, since no mid-term! You question if this guy is out to fail u?! Inflexible!

Need some backround knowledge with healthcare for sure. It was interesting for me because I could relate alot of the content with my work experience. You MUST take proper notes from the lectures in order to do well and pass. If you don't, you will probably not succeed.

Very inconsiderate, I needed .6 of a mark to go into B- and he gave me a hard time about it; I explained my situation to him but he didn't seem to care. I had to do a make up assignment (very hard read based on methological approaches and stats) provided a report based on has questions....this was worth more than .6 of a mark! Exam was extremely ch

attend classes, read his slides as well. you will do more than fine. I got A+ and A respectively for behavior modification and drugs.he is very organized,helpful and clarifies all materials. Nice prof.FAIR exams. I enjoyed his classes and learned from him.if u are expecting to be amused and have fun in the class, stay away!

He answers questions relatively quickly and accurately, but then his weekly assignments (worth 1% each) are too hard and time consuming... you won't get feedback from the essay, and he marks the essays very carelessly (i.e. doesn't read them)... final exam: Hardcore. He's horrible! He makes you buy the text, yet he never uses it. His exam was ridiculous beyond belief: it wasn't from the book OR the lecture notes he provides online. SO, basically, there is no way you can get a good mark. I wrote a very sharp essay, he didn't bother reading it, just gave it a 60%. And REFUSED to comment as to why I got that mark

This prof gave me the worst experience yet at Ryerson. He is not only unclear and not helpful, but extremely rude to his students. He seems more interested in building up his ego than actually providing students with proper education. Be prepared to be faced with a rude, confusing, and egotistical prof. No good.

Great instruction, kept things interesting. Not overly approachable outside of the lecture, and if the class is struggling with a topic he seems irritated from the repetition. However he does a very good job at giving example and different ways of viewing the theory. Overall a good professor.
