Comment:

I would recommend him to anyone who struggles with statistics. I have tried multiple stats professors at CofC and just could not follow along. He presented the material in a way that made it fun to learn! I would definitely recommend taking him for stats!

My all time favorite math teacher that I have ever had. No textbook required, just amazing lectures that have you walking out of the classroom with a smile on your face because you understand everything going on. Also, should be a comedian in his free time because he is so hilarious. 10/10 recommend this professor for any math course.

Professor Jones is not only one of my favorite professors at C of C, but he is probably my favorite Math professor of all time! I never really liked math, but going to his class makes it so much more fun! He relates everything to real world examples and makes learning the material simple. No need for a textbook, he writes his own notes. Take him!!!

3 exams (typically 4, but due to the weather the syllabus was changed), super easy as long as you attend class. Hands out study guides that are similar to the exams. A few Minitab projects, but he demonstrates how to complete the project in class. Lectures are fun to attend, funny guy! Highly recommend!

Professor Jones is one of the best professors I've had thus far at CofC. His lectures are fun and he relates the class to real world examples. There are frequent MiniTab assignments due bi-weekly but are easy if you take notes in class and count for a big chunk of your grade. He is such a sweet man and is always willing to help!

I hate math, but I actually enjoyed this class solely because of Professor Jones. He is super laid back and interjects funny stories into the lessons, which helped keep my attention. He keeps the material simple, and there are only a few easy assignments the whole semester. Plus, a cheat sheet on midterms and finals!

Prof Jones is awesome. He makes stats interesting and easy which isn't easy to do. He's super nice and will explain something 10 times if you need him to. You can use a cheat sheet on the midterm and he tells you exactly what is going to be on the midterm/final. Also, no tests. Take him!

This was my 3rd class with Martin. The course material was hard, being a 400-level, but Martin makes everything approachable and easy to understand in simplified terms. This guy is just the best. You won't fully understand all these positive reviews on here until you take his classes and experience it yourself.

My second math class with Martin was Math 350 - Statistical Methods. He made everything easy to understand and applicable to real world situations and problems, making seemingly abstract concepts tangible. Very friendly, fun, and funny guy. Makes class very enjoyable. I actually looked forward to going to class!

Jones is great in every way. Very passionate about math and it shows in his teaching. He cares more about you understanding the concept than giving you an assignment. Very few assignments, usually no tests. Attendance not required. Very fun, funny, and understanding guy. Take him for every math class you possibly can. Easy A. Cares about students.

Dr. Jones is an amazing teacher. He is passionate about the subject and he holds review sessions before tests to make sure you are prepared. The 5 out-of-class assignments we had were useful because we learned how to use a statistical software. Anyone who says it is hard to do well in Jones class is not taking advantage of what he offers.
