We learned a bit of everything, but we didnt really get anything. Midterm and final were extremely difficult. Assignments werent easy. He always makes tiny mistakes. We always rely on google. Oh well, im really surprised with what ive seen on quest. Thanks prof!!!

This course was the worst course I have taken. He can't explain well. I learn the whole course by google. The midterm and final were hard,but assignments were easy. Anyway, if you have him for this course, drop it. He made a second year course harder than a 4th year course. Leture notes are in outline form. Useless for final.

He was a terrible teacher... chalked lectures full of material, raced through and we were left with little understanding of the core material... Exams were long and difficult avg for midterm was 53 final was just as brutal... assignments were light and did not take too long but degree of difficulty was there... overall my worst uw course ever

Don't be fooled by his seemingly innocent looks. Does not take into account how much a student can handle. Less than 1% of the class understands what he teaches. Wasted my winter 2010 term with him. Extremely hard assignments too. Avoid him!

Class avg. on first C++ assign. was 44%. Class avg. on 2nd Java assign. was 73% but only because students spent ridiculous time on it. I spent 40+ hours on second assignment to get an A+ on it. CS456 assignment work with this particular prof is like CS350 amount. Midterm avg. was 57. Final was easier. On the plus side, he did major marks belling.

Very boring lectures, reasonable assignments, but the hardest exams ever!! He made my last exam in my university life the worst ever!!! He would make up new terms in the exam paper; and creates the most confusing questions and expect people to understand what he's looking for. He also tests your memory on very small points in the course notes!!
