Martin Lim is an awesome professor. To all, University is typically taught by assistants, the professor may lecture a few times, however he will always be there to guide you. Martin showed me, taught me many skills in photography. I learn more than photography in Martin's class, it was a true culture diversity class.

His TA's basically help you, he just lectures a few times. Make sure your proof sheets are very black, your pictures are cropped well, and make sure that your matting is even and positioned correctly. These things are what make or break your grade!

Martin was hardly ever there, and he was terrible at explaining things. Although he was quite easy he told us he never gives anyone a 4.0. If you deserve one you should get one. If you don't have to, i sudject not takeing him as a teacher

Martin was never there... sometimes he would run out for a quick errand and be gone all class. TAs did most of the work... esp Nathan... when he taught class... it was always with stories about his childhood, and never anything about photography. his class was a hit or miss class, i learned most everything on my own or with help from others or TAs

You're all insane! Martin is absolutely awesome! All you have to do is go to him and talk to him like a normal person. Tell him if you have problems and he'll help you any way he possibly can. He's such a great guy as well as a great teacher. He'll give you a low grade at first and expects you to haggle for a higher one. I talked him up .2 points.

I have no idea why anyone could say anything bad about Martin or his class. He's the most laid-back teacher I've ever had. The only way you could get less then an A in his class is if you only showed up every few weeks and never did any of the assignments.

He doesn't do proper or enough instructions. Most of time, TAs were doing his job. He neglects maintenance for equipment and supply of class as well. Nevertheless, he demanded students to purchase some tools. Sucked!!!

Martin was one of the worst teachers I've had. The most he addressed the class was to tell stupid personal stories, not to instruct us on what to do. We relied only on TA's and weren't offered any pointers or assistance from the teacher.

He was a very nice guy the few times I talked to him, but that's just the problem. He was the teacher and I had to rely on his TA's to help me and, with the exception of one TA, they did not know what they were doing or how to help.
