He is very professional and has a great sense of humor. I went to him for advice to get started on my career and he was very helpful. His deadlines and assignments are strict, but it is to teach students how to function in a real world application of business. The keys to success: do the work, attend classes, treat him as a colleague AND a person.

He is fair. He isn't lenient. When I asked a question, I was told to figure it out for myself. E-mails took days to respond (though he does give other ways to contact). I really liked how the coursework wasn't just due every week, but broken down into 3 dates to have specific work done by.

He is a great guy but his tests are ridiculous. The grades range from 40's to mid 80's for every exam. Test questions are just computer bank questions that he doesn't review before giving. The tests never really question you on the important basics and principles and see if you understand it in real life.

Great professor. Full of knowledge. You do have to work in his class to get a good grade and although attendance isn't mandatory, not showing up to class will hurt your grade a little. Usually drops one test grade. Fair teacher and expects you to read and participate in class discussion. If you participate, study, and ask questions you'll do well.

I loved Professor St. John. He knows the ins and outs of business and gives great, real-world examples. He expects you to read the book and study. If you do your reading, come to class, ask questions and study, you'll have no problem with this course. His tests are challenging, but rewarding. He pushes his students to do well.

I hate this professor. He only talks about his radical right wing ideology and how he hates the government and poor people in the system. Right before a test he has a "review day" where he only reads every title and sub title in the book and says, "know this". He never teaches it and each test is covering over a hundred pages of material. Rude man.

This professor was awesome, I have read some of the complaints about him, and if you thought Martin St John was not helpful or he was confusing you did not ask enough questions. If you do not put effort into St Johns class he will not put any effort into teaching it. He is a great guy if you make an effort you will get a good grade.

Online Version: Grade is based on 4 tests and 3 quizzes so study for them! Only 2 due dates so there was a lot of flexibility, just get ready to study a lot of vocabulary. If you can work well independently, you should do well. If you need a lot of graded practice exercises to motivate you, then prob not.

Dislike this guy with a passion. If you take him online give up now if you have questions he never gets back to you and he is also my advisor and I am seeing about switching my advisor. Take him! Very good teacher. He's been out there in the real world! I try to take all his classes because he is helpful and as long as you work in the class he's available. Very helpful and knowledgeable. If you put in the effort, he is more than willing to help guide you through the course. Probably the best professor I have ever had. Many of us take any business class that he teaches because he teaches it!
