Comment:

Betsy is a true educator. She gives great structure to her courses while allowing for independant learning. I've read some comments about how she is a hard grader; I did not see this. I thought she was a bit too easy. I remember one time having to do a oral presentation, and I read a story from a book and got an A having no visual aids or etc.

go to class, everything that is on her tests she give the answers in class. make sure to take notes on whatever she is saying. know everything well on the exam guides and u will do very well. go in to office hours to work on essays to improve your grade. overall very pleasant experience with her

awesome teacher. i actually tried to get her again for the next quarter. like people have said shes incredibly hard grader on essays, but shes very clear on how she wants essays done. overall i would recommend her.

So nice! She explains everything really well and is so funny. She is willing to help you and grades really easy on tests. Kinda impossible to get an A on a paper but is generous with giving B's. She's really good.

She is a hard essay grader. But I managed to pull an A- whereas I got a B+ last quarter. Journals and study questions are helpful and I really like going over lecture at the beginning of class. But if you don't like work, stay away from this class!

best TA i've had so far in humanities core. she makes a point to clarify lecture, essay assignments, discovery tasks. journals was a good idea cuz if u had too much work u can do it later. very helpful. ask her about essays and she'll outline it for u

Her tests are extremely detailed, but she gives out the essay questions ahead of time. She makes you keep a journal and do all discovery tasks, which gets annoying. As an essay grader, she's really helpful and grades pretty easily.
