Goes way too fast 16 chapters in a semester. Doesn't really help when you ask him too. No Extra Credit. His test start out to be really hard, then become somewhat easy because everyone starts to fail them. If you have taken French before I would recommend him, if not don't take him.

Took him for 2 semesters at JCU. I LOVED the courses. You really have to participate, esp if the class is small. Work is easy and the videos he showed were entertaining!

I loved French and then there was...Richards! PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY! Not necessarily hard but the guy is a REAL JERK. Makes fun of students in front of class, rude, cruel and talked about our class to his other students. Picks on you if you don't talk so PARTICIPATE if u must take him. KEEP AWAY, you’ll be glad u did!

One of the best professors I had at JCU. He teaches a lot of theory which is non-existent in other French classes at JCU. In sum, you actually learn something valuable from him. He expects a lot of you. Otherwise, what's the point?

Richards is a kind of oddball but is very knowledgable when it comes to French. The tests are difficult but they are, in all honesty, fair. If you are having problems, he is very approachable. (He likes when people pariticpate in class too.)
