Mary is a really helpful teacher. I had no idea how to use illustrator in the beginning. Now I am very familiar with the program. She definitley helped me with designing and exploring new ideas. If you work hard and put a lot of effort into this class you will come out successful.

Mary is a nice woman and great teacher if you care and dont give her attitude. The ones who hate her usually ask dumb questions and aren't great at designing so they just get frustrated. She can be a little scatter brained and tends to play favorites but when you need help she's always there. She has a good eye for design and is very knowledgable.

Class is tough, but you do learn a lot. If you don't put effort into this class don't take it!! You learn through trial and error at times. Knows what she is talking about, very friendly and will give honest opinion not always what you want to hear. Stickler about attendance and lectures are good.

DO NOT TAKE. horrible person. perfect example of a teacher who teaches to make money, not bc she cares about students. picks 1 or 2 favorites and hates everyone else. unmotivates students. Students would ask her how to do something on illustrator and she would have NO IDEA, and gave us a website to go to bc she was uncapable of teaching us.

Mary knows what shes talking about most of the time. May not know every trick to CS3, but honestly who does? Knows what she is looking for specifically. She may say that you don't design to her standards but it sure seemed like it. Very friendly and is def willing to help you. Small classes are best with her, she can help everyone a lot!

Like stated below, if you give her respect and respect the things that she is telling you, Mary is a GREAT teacher. For those who didnt like her, there is a reason, you did something and she didnt like you. You have to know how to get along with her. she is one of my favorite teachers because she has taught me so much and is very open minded as long as you explain yourself.... unlike Chuck... hes sooo strange
