Prof. Ryder is a highly charismatic man which makes his classes very interesting. He can come off as overly dominant, with his loud booming voice. And he tends to poke fun at people in class as a joke from time to time. All of this is in good fun and he really cares about how you do in his class. Show up/participate for attendance marks and enjoy

He is one of the best profs I ever had. He is really enthusiastic and made me look forward to going to class every single day. He has so much knowledge and makes classes very fun. He is a tough grader for presentations, but overall a really good prof.

Although this course was fairly simple. Marvin Ryder has absolutely no real world experience. When challenged in class, he has absolutely zero knowledge of the outside world. Only know what's written in ink. Don't bother going to class. Just read the textbook. That's all you'll need to do.

The guy is so full of himself he is unbearable to be around. He thinks he is GOD. Push him on his real world experience and he will crack. He went from undergrad to MBA to teaching - NO EXPERIENCE!! He is overpowering and dominant, but he is very smart business wise. He knows alot and is willing to help you and give you constructive help. He does love his own voice and it can be frustrating if you want to have a discussion with him b/c he'll just keep talking. But its ok, b/c he's right about what he's talking about.

Very dominant personality but is always helpful if you have any questions. Discussions are fun and even though a dominant personality he makes participating fun. Yes he pokes fun at you but it lightens up the mood. You just have to know how to handle it. Take advantage of asking him questions, he will give you tips and constructive criticism.
