The material is boring, but he doesn't really teach what is on the test until the review because he spends most of class talking about new technology and how great its going to make the ATC system. He overlaps a lot! Loves NATCA. Really cool guy, very funny, makes fun of the class. Go to class, ts 20% of your grade.

Marvin Smith is a great professor and a fun guy to listen to. Some lectures may be a bit boring but he always has something funny to say or something worth listening to. The class is easy, just four tests and that's it. Study a bit on the tests and it's an easy A, or do what I did and just go to class and take the tests, and I got an easy B.

Dr. Smith is a great guy. Sometimes his jokes/comments can be taken as offensive by some but he doesn't mean any harm. Intro to ATC is an easy course. Once you are there you will learn a lot from Dr. Smith. Guaranteed you will get at least a B. A's are a bit tricky since his entire grading consists of only 4 exams. You wont go wrong with Smith.

If you're a pilot or have a strong background in aviation, this class should be a breeze. If not, beware! He's prone to long, irrevalant tangents and occasional disrespectful comments about students, particularly women. Tests are hard if you don't have an aviation background already. Arrogant, but not horrible--though far from great.

Marv's da man, especially as the MSA chair, he gets stuff done. Funny guy too, like to rip on the women quite often, its all in fun, but they don't like it at times..oh well suck it up! he's a good guy, good hearted man, and will help you out.
