I've had Dr. Hooten for LOTS of classes: Health Psych, Physiological Psych, Sensation/Perception, Advanced Stats, Senior Seminar, and Comparative Psych. SHE. IS. WONDERFUL! You will literally learn so much from her! She is really fair when it comes to grading, but you HAVE to do your part by working hard and coming to class.

Dr. Hooten is one of my favorite professors on the Troy campus. I’ve had her for six psychology classes already. She is very knowledgeable about the material she covers. She is easy to work with and immensely helpful. She tries to make learning fun. Dr. Hooten is an exceptional professor and I look forward to having her again in senior seminar.

Dr Hooten went AWOL on us this term...after the first week of the term, she failed to respond to our emails and our posts. We were nearly three weeks behind until Dr Willis took over the class. I have never been so frustrated over a class before. I will never take another class of hers until I get apology for not holding up her end of the contract!

Had her for general psych. She's easy. Gives 5 bonus points to your final grade for only missing one day. Gives another 5 points to your final grade for writing an easy paper. Tests are easy, straight definitions. I did the class without the book; just use the book's website (on syllabus). She's interesting and lets you out of class early usually.
